It's worth mentioning that Matsuno is not actually gone, he is simply pursuing his own projects for the time being. He was working on Tactics Ogre Reborn before, and now all evidence points towards him working on the Final Fantasy Tactics remaster that was also mentioned in the Nvidia leaks. After he's done with that, he'll most likely return to wrapping up the Bozja/Dalmasca plot in FFXIV, if he hasn't decided to work on a new project by then.
