Did you not check the link? You seem to correlate using add ons with having fun and can't be criticised but you can't afford that same consideration to people who just want houses no one is using.

Don't know why instance housing couldn't have been added to Island Sanctuary. Or even a separate and much smaller instance island used as our own little instance house.

All I said is that it's nice to not have wards be overloaded with paissas carbuncles chocobos and gingerbreads, and not opening to personal does just that, apparently you took it to heart for some reason, not sure what to tell you
The only thing I am dismissive of is instanced housing because of reasons I explained many times on those threads, I am not agaisnt fc wards eventually turning into hybrid personal/fc, however if you or anyone else have high hopes that this will help in the long term, it wont, those houses will fill in a single round, and then back to normal no houses or barely any available. It's not a long term solution, and actually not even a solution at all.
All that will do is lock up every new FC from getting a house as the choices of wards will be extremely limited and people are not moving.
It might be possible for someone experienced or actively involved in making gil. But as a relatively new player when I hear from friends particular wards have been empty or semi empty for weeks, or in some cases months, my perception is that these plots aren't going to get filled at a satisfactory rate. The demand simply is not there. And I don't agree that new FCs will pop up. I think any FCS holding out right now want MD and LG houses and that problem is simply never going to go away. Hopefully you are correct and the next patch will have updates. However I am going to complain wherever I can not to be obnoxious, but because I want my voice to be counted when devs are reviewing player feedback. You are correct that opening up more private bidding will mean more houses get bought, but I don't see that as a problem. FC housing does not need to remove entirely, the ratio simply needs to be re balanced in favor of private buyers. Demand for housing is obviously higher than availability so there will be never be a perfect solution, but our current solution just does not work imo.
It already is balanced in favor of private buyers, the fc wards are only 7 (1 to 6) and ward 30 for fc only, that makes it 7 wards out of 30 are fc only, the rest is hybrid or personal only. And as the post you quoted said, those houses will fill in a single round, it's not a solution.
Agreed. But as I just said in another reply, there will never be a perfect solution. As far as new FCs being locked out, I would hope that the FC only wards are protected to some degree to prevent that from happening. To be fair, I don't think private only wards should even exist. I think it should be hybird OR FC. But that's another topic. As far as a solution to new FCs being locked out-- on my server I have noticed that demolishing has opened up some availability per bidding round. Maybe new FCs could get some kind of priority queue based on new availability that happens in the middle of a bidding period instead of shuffling those new lots directly to bidders. And you may say "Well then all the new plots that open up will go to FCs" -- ok. Well at least then every ward will be full and everyone will have fair shot. At worst, both new FCs and private buyers will be waiting in that case.
This issue I have with several posts going on is you guys are relying on a theoretical that we are not observing currently. And no, no solution will be perfect because there are too many private buyers. Hence why I am suggesting why don't we figure out some way to get more private buyers in houses and then, as I said, worry about who is waiting. It doesn't matter if it's 5% or 10% more private buying opportunity, any % is better than current despite the fact new lots will be filled faster than we can blink.
