The Official Forums is an EXTREMELY poor example of a "Good Community"

I'll be honest, I didn't read the OP and went straight to <Last page>.

The Forum used to be a melting pot of interesting people posting interesting views and whatnot.

Most of them got Banned for life though, I have had a Pawful of temp Ban's myself <laughs>.

So now you get Wokeproof-Kitty mode.

And this is why the Official Forums is an Extremely poor example of a Good Community.

In the end, just cause the forums is, by their choice or neglect. Ended up a Place that leads to some threads(be it due to society overall, or just individuals in general) to become something it isnt about.

It doesnt have to be that way.[just as I had seen some cooldown on their rush of certain things in-game. Relics of a different time in which instances changed quickly]

its almost like, in its current stage we have cooldown threads. I remember a bit back when a certain Rothgar we all know made a thread to give thanks for things they did do that we approve/enjoyed.
[if I wouldnt be accused of raising the dead, I know many would add the whole one click redeem/collect for the Island Sanctuary]

I Hope/Cope that the Forum does overall become a more easily habitable place.

At the very least in game, is in a much more nice temperature.[though I wish I had many more people to pass the time with in-game. as well as pass extra minions to my alts. FC wont grow itself. sad that most of my friends are of a different region though.]

Would be great if there was a way to discuss ANYTHING with the guy. He doesn't respond to anyone that has even the slightest difference in opinion. He is pure ego.

Now if he changes that? Great. We can sit down and have a nice discussion. Now me personally I felt best to not get involved anymore so I'm not talking at him till he figures it's time to actually hold a discussion.

Just be glad some of you weren't here when the forums opened and into some expansions. You couldn't say a thing about
this game without the White Knights high jumping and diving down your damn throat because you don't like something.

1 - Bold of you to assume I'm so much as even trying to be an upstanding citizen. I'm just sane enough to say the guy is deranged. You don't see me going around and constantly telling people that want anything that wasn't in the previous classical FF games to not be a good addition, like they somehow physically harmed him.

I only started calling him out this week, and people are throwing crap at me like I've been doing it the whole time. Well. Shows what you lot know.

If it makes you feel any better, I'll stop talking about him and interacting with his posts ^^ Because it feels like the sanest thing to do.

But if he comes to my posts again and trashes the idea just because it doesn't fit into his stupidly-restricted monochrome and classisist way of viewing the game, then don't blame me for telling him off.

2 - No, but I was here to hear A LOT of insults thrown at other races just because they wanted additions and fixes. I was here to hear A LOT of crap about stuff people enjoyed without even giving a darn about whether it was fine to enjoy them or not.

I just came here to mention that you can just edit your first post with the "extra" text that goes over the limit so you don't have to waste 2 posts on one idea.

Oh and I really would not use "general" as a meterstick for the entire forum.

I think the main issue is that he keeps being brought into conversations that don't involve him. I'm all for calling him out when he has some...uh, interesting takes (I'll be nice), and every once in a while I will agree with something he said, but I have noticed that he tends to live rent-free in other peoples' heads.
