Do the Japanese forums complain about the Viera/Hrothgar hat situation?

As for everyone else, thank you, Im glad to see that there are topics about hats on the Japanese forums as well, Im rarely at a pc but next time Ill give the translator a try. My last hint of hope is that we will finally have hats with the graphic update in the next expansion.

In the Giraffe's defense each side feels like the other is being catered to if you read the jp fansites. A lot of the NA/EU players believe the Japanese company caters to the Japanese market (strange, I know) while the JP side believes that the streamlining and "casualization" of the game is due to the NA/EU influence we somehow have on Mr. Yoshida.

Of course they probably try to find a balance between each data center, I was more curious if JP is equally as interested in this particular problem, regardless of how they bring it on their side of the forums.

From ffxiv census it seems fem Viera characters slowly surpass fem hyur and are at an almost equal level as lalafels, in endgame content, so its weird that we still are the only ones together with Hrothgar, unable to equip hats, it’s not as if our population is so low.
Ofc the miqo line is higher than anything else but even they get their ears cut off so I don’t know what Im expecting to be honest.

Pretty sure the only establishment worth giving a darn in Gridania is Buscarron's, and that guy's a Hyur.
And he imports his wines from Wineport. And as far as I've seen, Elezen aren't the ones in charge of those.

I'm going to piss off a few people here but... Honestly, I don't think it's a priority. And I find it alarming that some people are calling for this change as "essential".

I had, I don't remember when, a discussion with someone in the field about this. What came out of it was that this type of change was time-consuming, resource-intensive and staff-intensive. In an ideal world, SE would have the time to put people on this task, and to deliver this request.

In the present day? Well, there are changes that seem more urgent to me, because they affect a larger proportion of the player population. In fact, it would probably be fairer to complain here about the cause that leads to this situation: the fact that FFXIV has become a stable source of income that should not be causing "unnecessary" expenses in any way; because that's why there's no adjustment to "minor" things like this.

No one's saying something like Square should go back and fix pre-existing hats. But it should be expected that any new hat, especially from the cash shop, works for all races, especially if real money is involved.

Just because you don't care about your ears being cut off doesn't mean that this isn't an important issue. All races should work, period. If you don't see fixing issues with the player's character as important then your priorities are really weird.

If that was the case then why do they continue to release new gear that is incompatible patch after patch? Why do the new outfits on mogstation released 3 years after these races came out have this restriction when they cost 20 real US dollars?

It's not so much their reluctance to fix things in the past, it's that they say they will do better to fix it going forward then don't. A large number of asphodelos and abyssos headgear doesn't work with these races, same with the Endwalker dungeon and AF armor, the Aglaia armor, and crafted armor. If it's a matter of them not having the manpower to fix past gear why do they keep making new gear that just doesn't work on these races? You'd think at some point they would realize that they have the power to design gear that is wearble. If they can't actually fix the hair part, then make more glasses, masks, crowns, and hoods that are shown to actually work with the races as opposed to continuing the issue going forward. But, they don't.
