Ability to see the future: Loose plot thread?

XIV is very fond of trying to explain how magicks and other supernatural phenomena work at least on a surface level, so them just coming in saying absolute future sight is a thing without any explanation whatsoever about the "how" of it was really awkward.

That is true. I am not a fan of the bozja storyline (too many moments where we stood around and let things happen) so that is just one part that I was like "really?".

That about the Ancients or the twelve or both? Not that we've heard of any of the twelve doing incredibly horrible things to people out of spite or cause they were bored.

If anything, despite the jrpg cliche, the twelve truly seem benevolent in every way. While still enjoying a good rumble.

I haven't done the Astrologian quest lines and I don't know much about them. Do they also predict the future using the echo?

Regardless, I think that having an ancient (or even better, a group of ancients) who has the ability to see the future would be a neat way of closing this little plot thread, at least for me.

Who knows, maybe one of the members of the 14 is responsible for that, something similar to Words of Lahabrea. We still have many Ascians whose real names and jobs remain completely unknown to us. Maybe they could throw in Cassandra from the Greek Mythology as one of them.

Actually, it was confirmed that Azem themselves had the ability to see into the future, but we don't know the extent/limitations of it. It was mentioned in Elpis what each one of the Convocation members offices were. I recall Altima's being the arts.

Azem must have some kind of future sight though she/he told Themis exactly where to meet us for the Panda raid "falling star would appear beside him".

The start of the Pandaemonium raids. When you first bump into Themis, he mentions that Azem had predicted that a "falling star" would come help him.

It's missing :
- Elidibus, though we know what that seat role is ;
- Nabriales, despite smacking his face ;
- They-who-shall-not-be-named Deudalaphon that is barely if ever mentionned in game.

Loghrif or at least one of their shards can do time magic which sure isn't future sight, but could you imagine what crazy stuff could happen if you had a person who could manipulate time even for a short while that worked with a situation that you knew about due to future sight?

Don't forget Azem was going to go with Elidibus until they noped out and told them to look out for their falling star. Which if not future sight then it leans into the at some point down the road that we will probably never see of the WoL needing to become fully rejoined and to travel even further into the past to become Azem theory. Even though it would be cool I don't want to see it or for it to be true. I'd rather have Azem be highly quirky and have very vague future sight.
