Thanks, Molly. Understood. I was asking, specifically, about the attribute point allocation. Regards.

This is a useful guide. I believe I will shift my point allotment around and focus on STR and MND.
Militia tanking gear isn't bad at all. It isn't the best, but it is good enough to be worthy of the list.
Militia Tights: HP : +100, MP : +50, Vit : +15, Mnd : +15, Accuracy : +5, Spell Interrupt Resistance : +50
Militia Cuirass: HP : +100, Vit : +7, Crit Rate : +15, Mnd : +13, Parry : +10
Militia Sabatons: HP : +110, Vit : +3, Mnd : +3, Accuracy : +2
Militia Gauntlets: HP : +120, Mnd : +7, Enmity : +10
Militia Armet: HP : +60, Vit : +7, Mnd : +7, Enmity : +10
A very interesting read indeed, alot of it is spot on.
Awesome guide, there's very little things I disagree with here.
Just a general question in regards to Shield:
I noticed you said that Block Rate is important, but many of the shields you recommend have higher Block than Block Rate. Is there any reason I should be going with a shield with high block such as Thormoen's Purpose over say Storm Sergeant's Hoplon? (+Enmity on Purpose aside.) Also, is there any hard evidence on the effectiveness of Block Rate vs. Block to find the "sweet spot" as I assume a shield with a lot of Block Rate and no Block would not be optimal and vice versa.
Thanks!
Erm-
You do know that every ability when cross-classed is weaker, correct?
I would enjoy doing science but my friends do not have enough patience to Throw Stone that much.
If you ignore the abilities divine veil and outmanuver and aegis boon then you can simply add up the block and block rate and the higher total will have the most dmg mitigation over time. BUT when you add in the ability to block 100% of attacks 1/3'rd of the time combined with aegis boon then the scale tips in favor of kite/tower type shields. I say vintage kite because of the ability to stack HP on it or the enmity from thurmeons.
