After that i could equally say i stay away from FF12, FF2, FF3 and FF5. I love the tactics series and Im torn to have to throw those in any were so i just hold a special place in my heart for FF tactics ^^

My favs are 3, 7, 9 and 12
9 for the references to past and I like the characters/light-hearted dialogue.
6 because the story is awesome and also Locke is awesome.
5 because the job system is very fun.
10 because Lulu and Rikku are awesome and I like the sphere grid.
12 because I like the gameplay, though I wish the spells looked cooler and the international zodiac job system was released ... internationally
13 because it's fucking beautiful
Haven't played any of the other ones. Except 1 and I always die before I get to Garland.

I think the plots from these were among the best in the series and they all had a memorable cast of characters. I didn't put XI in there because you can't really compare it to single player RPGs.
FFVI is my #1 for sure. Kefka is just too awesome. FFIV and FFVII would be the next in line for me.
