Yoshi-P has said both Krile and Thancred will be relevant to 7.0 in previous interviews. We obviously can tell from this that they are securing the party line-up for the duty support system. Like others have said, I think Krile is due for a job change and Geomancer seems like a good fit. She did spend quite a bit of time on the Isle of Val near Doma and Kugane.
I have a feeling that we are going to get two DPS jobs again in this expansion since we got a tank in SHB and a healer in EW. I'm betting on casting and oddly enough melee, scouting in particular. That would gives us two maiming, two striking, and two scouting. Scouting hasn't been added to since ARR patches and it fits in-line with Thancred being relevant in 7.0 since he can change jobs as well.
This would allow for a pretty diverse duty support system. Thancred can switch between Tank and DPS, Krile between healer and DPS, and Graha as the all-rounder. From there, I can say there is a high chance we are going to Corvos.
I think Graha needs to get the Krile treatment until they can make him worth keeping in the story. He's done little to move the plot since we left Norvrandt (and he's in a sad state when his most memorable thing from Endwalker is the "cat haz cheezberger" meme moment).
Graha can sit at the Rising Stones and hold Tataru's hand while Krile gets to play.
Krile is just Tataru with a new paint job and a discount Echo. Both should be thrown off a roof repeatedly until they stop moving.
I really hope Thancred gallivanting around Ilsabard in his free time is a precursor to him tagging along as our guide when we go there next in 7.x.
I could see Krile coming along simply because we need someone with aetherlogical smarts around, though depending on the nature of "change" we'll be dealing with, her Echo could also be useful.
