Maybe the forums are what the lyrics in Scream (the song in P6 and P7) are actually about. "Scream all you like; your gods can't hear you."

Maybe people actually care for the game. :)
There's a reason why when you go to general discussion the url has 666 in it :p
Yes, yes they do, and you are following their example.
When I am complaining about something, or giving criticism, I do care about the thing I am talking about. Others care more for the story for example, but I can be found typically more in things that have to do with customization or aesthetics, because those are the things I care more about. ESPECIALLY anything that has/had to do with viera. I think I posted in nearly every single viera thread during ShB, well during EW now too. That isn't to say I don't vent like in the duty finder thread(s).
I don't honestly find I have a great deal to complain about myself.
I mean, I came to this game (which I won't name as don't really want to get into a discussion about the particulars of it) from another, F2P, MMO I'd played for over a decade but which, sadly, took a real nosedive in quality due to the EP/Devs overwhelming commitment to a FOMO-based, mobile-gaming-cash-grab mentality, business model which revolves around uber-expensive bundles of items and gambleboxes.
And when I say said game took a nosedive in quality I mean:
- bugs are ignored, with excuses about how the Dev team is too small and overworked to priortise addressing such issues
- the game only receives one (or two if lucky) new episodes every five or six months
- nonsense excuses about metrics telling them what players want to do, despite it being painfully obvious that that they coerce or funnel players into specific activities that they hate but feel like they have to put up with in order to get a reward, then point at the predictably-high engagement numbers as "proof" that players like that activity
- the Moderators on the forum of said game have become very adverse to threads/comments that attempt to address issues
No thanks - I left that game behind in favor of FFXIV and haven't looked back.
To say that FFXIV has been a breath of fresh air after playing that game wouldn't be an understatement!
there are statistics to shows that yes, people in fact go on the forums, etc... to complain.
