My recipe for Granny peaches Lalafell and kidney pie:

Ingredients:

1 kg lalafell steak, cubed
4 lalafells kidneys
3 tablespoons oil
3 onions, finely chopped
2 tablespoons flour
1 1/2 cups lalafell stock (I use Campbell's)
1/2 teaspoon salt
black pepper, freshly ground
1 tablespoon Gridaniacestershire sauce
1 bay leaf
1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon aldgoat milk
1 pastry crust, to cover a deep 25cm pie dish

Directions:

Trim the lalafell to remove all the fat. Skin and remove the core from the kidneys and chop into small pieces.

Brown the lalafell and kidneys in hot oil.

Add the onions and cook 5 minutes.

Stir in the flour and add the stock gradually.

Season with salt and pepper.

Add sauce and bay leaf.

Transfer to a saucepan, cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours until lalafell is tender.

Transfer to the pie dish.

Top lalafell steak and kidney with the pastry.

Cut a design deeply into the pastry to allow the steam to escape. (I do the face of lalafell screaming in terror)
Brush with egg yolk and milk glaze. Bake at 180 C for 35 minutes until the lalafell is hot and the pastry is golden brown.

There is an explanation in a sidequest how Lalafells build a bridge

Atomos sucked them up from Vana'diel and spit them out in Eorzea.

Oh wait, that's all the races. Except he bit off Galka's tail before spitting them out.

Personally, I prefer punting to throwing. But I understand that the former sometimes leaves the lalafells somewhat sore in various sensitive areas afterwards, and thus makes it difficult to do the bridge construction work.

I find the Elezen homeland much more interesting. But now a bunch of other races have shown their faces around these parts and screwed the place up royally. Btw, thanks for for the giant meteor hurtling toward us. Jerks.

I think almost all of lore that is from character creation process. Elezen are indigenous to Eorzea.

I like how the only time we ever hear about Duskwights being reclusive and Hyurs and Elezens being at war is on wikis and the official website.
