I like the new ex3 fans, but I agree there should be some more fan models. I think some throwing daggers or whips would look neat as well.

Frosted Sprinkle Donut weapons! Seriously, I'd unlock dancer on my Lalafell if I got those kinds of weapons. xD

This makes me dubious that you're actually looking at any of the weapons. There are definitely coloured ones, sometimes dyeable so even ones that start off looking dull by the default metal colours can come up bright – the Deepgold War Quoits for example, which IIRC are black by default, but you can dye the black parts any colour you like. Another version dyes the inner parts while keeping the rim black. Experiment with them.

Sword and shield on paladin isn't a variation, it's just what they use.

And the one-handed mage weapons stopped being made ages ago, and they're functionally a pain. They're classified as a different type of weapon to staffs so you can't glamour one over the other. Perpetuating it would mean being locked out of half the available weapon glamours according to which sort was released in the current tier of weapons.

Doesn't that suggest to you that they're working on adding things over time?

If they wanted to be lazy about it, they could have just slapped theme colours on a pre-existing weapon model, but instead it seems they're taking their time and making unique models to match the others.

It's been three years and I'm still waiting for GNB/DNC weapons for the 50/60/70 trials to be added to the game. The only fight that got them was Shinryu. And SGE/RPR have the same problem.

Like it or not, Square established a precedent in HW and SB when they went back and added weapons for AST, DRK, MCH, RDM, and SAM to those old trials. A lot of us were expecting the same to be done for GNB/DNC, and it's disappointing that they haven't. They've had three damn years, and they couldn't find the time to churn out a dozen models and add them to the game?

I'd love to see some cool moon-themed Tsukuyomi chakrams, or a regal Thordan gunblade. I can imagine RPR mains wanting a sweet Nidhogg or Ifrit-themed scythe. Instead, newer jobs have much fewer options for glamour to choose from.

I like a lot of the dancer weapons. The king’s dancer weapon is one of my favorites. I keep hoping every patch they make the craftable Kings weapons available. The level 87 extreme trial dancer weapon is beautiful imo. I like the new PvP weapon they added to buy with crystals too.

I would absolutely love some dancing fans though. Maybe relics will have some fun designs, maybe even a fan :)

What's a proper fan? Each of DNC's four Fan Dances have a unique animation with their emphasized fans in full display. This was undoubtedly a pleasant surprise for DNC in ShB who wanted fans for their primary weapons and got Chakrams instead, so I have absolutely no idea what you mean by "proper fan".

If by proper, you mean having fans as a main weapon, well that's not going to happen. They could give us Chakrams that take on the appearance of fans, and I think this could actually work, but it wouldn't be a 'proper' fan. Just a fan that behaves like a chakram. The same can be said for ribbons like what rhythm gymnasts use. I am totally on board for either of these glamours for chakrams.

I'd like to see more hammers for WAR too ( I know the Aspho one is, but MORE ).
Different types of weapons would be cool in general, for example more warhammers/ maces for PLD, and stuff like glowing/ burning gloves for MNK.
Maybe hatchets for NIN.

If anyone hasn't seen the contest winners for the weapon design contest, both of the chosen Dancer weapons are looking to be very unique:

The first has an actual sword on fan-like chakrams and the second is a pair of cross-shaped batons on fire.
