It deals tiny damage outside of LB. If someone kills you outside of WAR LB it must be the dps. WAR best kit is the aoe stun that can change the tide of battle if it hits 4 or 5 enemies at once while the team burst down the healer. And even that deals tickle damage. Outside of that no its not any more special than the other tanks.
That stun is actually way more broken than you'd think since it's basically spammable and forces an entire "use your cleanse or do nothing for 2 seconds while the enemy team gets to catch their breath and also hit you and force you to heal" kind of situation, and it can also sometimes lead to a CC deathball if you don't break the stun
The AoE stun and the pull won't do anything if your team sucks, but in close games the constant group CC will force out more heals from the enemy team and also potentially block kills if your team decides to focus someone just to get group stunned, then everyone is down a bunch of cooldowns and they get to live
Heck, if you get a tank that isn't a warrior you're basically down a slot because the other tanks don't do anything that useful except for *maybe* Dark Knight
The only way I can reach Diamond is to become a WAR and pray that enemy team don't have a WAR, ezpz Diamond :)
Actually it's more like pray your team makes the best of your kit because if you have a team looking for sightseeings on the battlefield or seem to wait for a hunt train while you're solo'ing the enemy team for a minute straight on the aetherite chances are you lose. Because apparently they think it's a smart move to go in one by one to get killed. That being said WAR can't do jack on it's own outside of LB without a team to follow through, with a good team on the other hand you completely wreck.
I mean most classes are considered OP because everybody cuddles.
In platinum, to this day, people dont see drg lb. Doesnt make drg op.
Cuddling together means free stun and free heal for the warrior. People dont focus down tanks/healers.
Thats how they become an annoying problem.
People also fight in sage lb and against pld lb (pld directly counters war i think)
Anyways, if you dont play cuddle fest and bully tanks, they cant do much. Even war.
If they yeet into somebody, get them.
People let others get away a bit too easily sometimes. You have to try to get the low hp people before they pot and come back.
You really have to listen to markers. If nobody does, mark themyourself. This pvp isnt a 1o1, go bully single people as a team.
The only class i would consider a bit op is sam… if people knew how to play it.
And whms lb charges a bit too quickly.
War just thrives off of clusters of people and thats what everybody does.
So i disagree, the problem is with everybody being stacked for free stuns and heals, not everybody should be on the crystal.
If they pull you in, immediately guard if you can. I mean if you get pulled into the enemy team, not just randomly somewhere.
This may sound weird, but this is literally the same mode as tower control in splatoon. And there, preferably, only one person rides the tower while the team goes out to bully.
Healers are very good tower riders lol.
Also also, some classes rather need buffs instead of others nerfs. Bring the bottom up first and then see how it goes.
It seems to me like what they've done is lay the foundation work for PvP moving forward, so I expect they will balance things out more.
