Oh yeah, thanks soooo much for the shiny new crafting/gathering gear that's ridiculously hard to make and requires massive amounts of materials. Since that exact gear is the ONLY gear in the game currently that REQUIRES that gear to make, it's POINTLESS. Do you guys actually look at what your doing before, during, and after you're doing it? That's a complete circular pattern there. I've been disappointed by you for the last time, SE. It was fun, but this current attitude isn't gonna cut it for me anymore.

Who do you know bidding on multiple plots? So ultimately what you saying is YOU would rather go back to log-in ultimate from last year. He who wakes up at an ungoldy hour gets to the undesirable plot in Uldah puts that plot on an RNG timer Relocate to another desirable plot and all those who got kicked from queue?? Too bad so sad. How is that system better and fair? I'm so glad Square ENix does not take some of these posts too seriously. You wanted to compete with botters is your ultimate argument with the old stand at placard and waste your whole day for a house.
That is not fun or fair. Its a waste of time. I'm totally fine with the current system, Don't have to wake up at ungoldy hours For a chance to not get kicked from server queue for a chance at a house. All you gotta do now is save up your gil and put in a bid an play the rest of the game. Sounds good to me
And also complaining about crafting. I audibly laughed when I read that. How much more brain dead do you want crafting to be? They already took most of the complexity out of the game. Heavenward crafting was the best era of crafting in my opinion. Its just macro simulator now. Boo Hoo now you gotta macro craft 3 HQ items instead of none. O man the tragedy. "Square you making the game to hard fix it for me. This post is the definition of entitlement I cannot lol. Thats why every healer/tank class plays the same ( dont worry dps jobs homogenization is coming for you now look at all the sams upset at the changes) and thats why crafting has been nerfed and dumb down. Catering to those who cry the most who probably don't understand their jobs or systems and just wait for the various discords to come out with a macro so they can afk in Limsa anyway.

I think lotto is better than placard hell in terms of overall fairness (speaking as someone who vastly preferred first come/first serve and placard hell), but that doesn't fix the main problem, which is that a big gameplay mechanic is locked behind a severely limited resource that most players will possibly never get to experience. I love the housing system in regards to furnishing, so it sucks that so many players a limited to apartments at best (or not even that on balmung), which are extremely limited in what you can do with them, but it's honestly really messed up that submersibles/airships and gardening are locked behind owning an actual house.

Like, ffxiv is an incredibly popular game, and square enix is an incredibly successful company. I understand that the housing system is flawed from the premise, and fixing it would require a lot of resources, but it's still so ridiculous to me that people pay every single month so they can be completely gated from two entire aspects of the game. While I really hope they at least implement some form of instanced housing for people that aren't lucky enough to get a house, I don't understand why they can't find a way to allow people to use the fc workshop and gardening without owning one. Even something like upgradable apartments, where you can increase the interior size and unlock garden plots would be nice.

Limited content like title or pvp glams is one thing, but housing stuff has an actual affect on the game (aetherial wheel buffs, gil from gardening and company workshop), so it should be accessible to anyone who is (literally) spending money every single month to play this game. And also, the decorating system is pretty in depth and really enjoyable, so I think the. Paying Customers. of this game should actually get to use it. It's fine if it takes a lot of gil, or an in game grind, but people are literally just not allowed to access the content until they get lucky off of pure rng.

like, I have a personal and fc house, and garden plots on 4 different houses through the tenant system, and it still makes me super mad. A ton of my friends have been trying to get a house for years, and they still don't have one after 50+ (that's the minimum, btw) hours of mindless placard clicking. And while the lotto at least means that they don't have to click a placard, the increased accessibility and limited number of wards means that it's very likely that they'll just never get a house at all. if someone is paying 15 dollars a month to play your game, then they should actually be allowed to access all the content in the game. dumb fuckin system.

I was kinda surprised they let you make lotto bids on alts, too. Glad I leveled 8 characters.

I rather a lotto than placard hell, much more healthy for players. I currently have 2 other FC competing for the plot I have bid on. Fingers crossed.

You... have no idea how botting works, do you? Like literally none? A nigh infinite pool of accounts with mounds and mounds of gil. In an ecosystem where the vast majority of plots are for FCs now. When selling FCs with houses was the main method. While these plots come at the expense of private plots.

I swear. Sometimes I have to do the thinking for people.
