Can't enter lottery to relocate FC house

I have encountered a similar issue that I am not quite sure if it's the same thing?

I tried to relocate my FC house to a different plot with my alt ( who has all permissions ) but received a message that I could not do so. I only have a private house + the FC on my main ( all purchased by the same character ) but still receiving the error, which confuses me immensely. Should I not be able to put in a ticket for relocation even on an alt?

This also makes me wonder the following: if a fellow friend from the FC puts in a bid to relocate on an alt ( assuming it works, will have to test this later ) will they still be able to purchase a lottery ticket on their main account? Can they still purchase FC relocation tickets on the main even if they bid on a private? Is there a limit to FC relocation tickets between alts? Some of the rules are a bit fishy and with the bugs it has become even more confusing to me.

This is what a friend is going through at the moment. He has FC leader, and had purchased the FC house from the placard years ago. He can put in a ticket for relocation off his main (the FC Master rank), and the other FC members can put in tickets on all their characters (one person put in 3 tickets with alts with no issue), but he is unable to put in tickets under his alts.

It's kind of bizarre.

That is so strange. I sincerely hope SE will fix this issue soon since it seems to be quite common. I will see what happens later when I ask my friend to purchase a ticket and report back here with the results, but reading through this thread I assume that it will work just fine for them.

Ok, this is what we've been able to determine so far.

If you purchased from a placard, your entire account is now flagged. Not just the character that purchased it. Doesn't matter if you are the FC Master. You will now be locked into only being able to purchase a ticket from that single character to relocate the FC. Everyone else in the FC can put in as many tickets as they like on as many alts as they like, but the original purchaser cannot.

I can see what SE is intending to do, discourage people from creating shell FCs to own more than 1 FC house on a given world. But it's also catching people who haven't done this whatsoever and preventing them from helping their current FC from moving plots.

Feels like they added this system on top of another one and it's clearly conflicting.

How many that were having problems prior to last night's maintenance are continuing to have problems? The inability to purchase was listed as a reason for the maintenance in the Lodestone notice.

Just fix the core problem instead of designing new bandaids with complicated designs. It's not helping.

Whoever purchased the FC house from the placard is the one who is flagged and locked to a single lotto ticket entry ONLY on the character that did the purchasing. Any alternate characters in the FC will get an error message that the service account is locked from buying more tickets. Everyone else in the FC who meets the criteria (are members for at least 30 days, have permission to buy/relocate, and have the money on hand, etc) can buy tickets on every character they have in the FC.

If the character who purchased the house from the placard (and is still actively in the FC) leaves the FC, all of this unlocks and resets. (Do not do this. Leaving the FC and returning to it will just trigger the 30 day membership rule and screw you out of a ticket if you already bought one.)

I can see what SE is attempting here, but it's backwards. If you're trying to prevent people from buying more FC houses with shell FCs, there are better ways to do this. You're just locking some people out of lotto tickets who simply want to help relocate their FC to a new plot.

Flagged accounts should only be restricted from purchasing brand new housing, not moving current housing to a new plot.

It's a bit frustrating hearing that other people can enter multiple tickets for their FC on alts. I spent a bunch of time grinding last week to get mine access to Ishgard to give my FC a marginally better chance at a relocation, but because my main bought the current FC house from the placard they're all blocked from entering. It wouldn't bother me so much if the rules were more consistent (eg. if it was only one character that could enter per account per world for everyone), but losing out because of a vague technicality feels really unfair.

Small update since my friend logged on: she could bid onto the house for the FC without an issue, as suspected.

Relocating instantly is disabled. Relocation via lotto is very much a thing.
