Ishgard Housing Details are Out

All things considered, I think this is a better solution that the current system. There's enough time to get new houses into the hands of players without promoting the degenerate no-life behaviour of the first come, first serve system. Existing plots will become available in this time also so there's more houses than ever on the market. Looking forward to raffling rather than camping like a degenerate though.

Another question and i'm reading it again if people bid on a FC plot does that exclude them from bidding on a personal? It sure sounds like you are only allowed to make one bid period which sucks for those of us who want a FC and possibly a personal.

Yep. If you have an FC, hopefully you have a 30 day old alt inside, they can bid on the FC house, while your main bids on the personal.

Consider that on Materia we won't get the second echo of the relocations from old zones to Ishgard like NA/EU/JP will have as a small number can relocate. For us, those on the busiest servers like Sophia will likely get one single 10 day lottery, and all housing is gone. I am thinking that even on Zurvan, the lightest server, if we miss out there might be just one more chance.

Well it also appears that one can only bid once so if you're bidding for a FC house for your members that will exclude you from making a bid on a personal house.

Did anyone see anything in that post to indicate how they will be rolling wards out? At the moment all I can see is the main and subdivision of Ward 1. Anyone know if SE is going to be rolling this out one ward at a time or are they going to do several wards at once?

Considering housing needs a maintenance to enable, and that maintenance is usually a 24 hour one. I expect all wards to be there at the same time.

True. But it is WAY more effort than letting some bots clicking the "Buy"-button all the time. And it is still not sure because of the RNG. I doubt, that Gil sellers will do that. You will also need way more payed accounts to do this (costs real money), more chars at level 50 and more Gil involved to be more effective.

Before the placards had the rng timers we saw screenshots of housing go for up to $600USD. And that was what, 3 - 4 years ago? They'll be worth a lot more now. Being able to make free characters on Materia means there are a LOT of shell fcs looking to do exactly this. I know everyone had the same idea and they've had a lot of time to prepare for it.

I think the only real solution for this is proper instanced housing. Like with the gardens, outdoor areas, something fun that people can have without having to stress out about it all the time. There's a person in my FC who is literally having dreams about the housing rush on Materia.

I still think 5 days is a stupidly long time.

Likely less effort. Once levelled they don't even need to multibox. 5 days to leisurely login everyone and enter.

We are infested on materia right now with the Bard Bots. A group of about 30 multiboxing identical bards (last all in blue dye) currently levelling.
