"You pull, you tank" is a bad mentality

Im sensing the tank was doing baby pulls in the first place which they should not. In current dungeons u r limited to 2 trash packs, no excuse whatsoever to ever not drag them together. Tank should be leading the charge, sprinting way ahead of the party so that dps/heals dont even get to do what u just described.

"You tank it you pull it!" is the tank equivalent of "I'm a HEALER so why am I expected to cast Glare!?"
Only people with massive egos say it, and it's better to instead just do your job. It's not a big deal your DPS want to clear faster, but it is a big deal that you are actually going to throw because you just can't be asked to hit the aoe button by anyone but yourself.

Skiros is a goof, but this is actually a real point tbh.

NGL outside of this being a troll thread, yes, it is, and YPYT is actually considered against the TOS.

Honestly, the only time I do the YPYT thing is when they keep running away from me so that I can't even hit the mobs. I don't keep chasing people who don't bring the mobs to me when I'm spamming AoEs on the rest of the mobs.

If it was a simple accident and they pull the mobs to me, of course I’ll rip them back. If they’re just being incredibly impatient for one reason or another then I’ll still rip it back. But hey sweat a little first.

This honestly stems as a sort of retribution towards the "you don't pay my sub" crowd. A lot of people with this terrible attitude rejoiced and taunted over how the ToS update meant they could report people who basically said anything they disliked even if done politely. Others have now flipped it around to highlight that it's equally viable (in fact, more so) they can report tanks who purposely let DPS or Healers die over petty nonsense.

In reality, I doubt any GM will reprimand either side and chalk it up to simply suggesting they leave the party.

My only input will be; if you pull it, pull it into the tank aoe. If you decide to kite it, that’s on you and there’s no esuna for lack of common sense

All I know is that that I'm always on my way and if you die cuz you were ahead, you probably should've run back with what you had instead of waiting and gloating at the finish line.

In my experience 9 out of 10 times when DPS pulls it's not justified at all and they're clearly not paying attention to anything.
Usually why the tank is slow is because the healer is lagging behind or is afk.

Like I'll be Tanking and I'll stop because I notice the Healer went afk ( whether they said that they did or didn't ).
And the DPS just jumps around like a moron and goes yolo on the mobs.
In the end of the day pulling is part of the Tanks job and it always has been in MMO's and for good reason.
There's almost never a good reason for the DPS to pull and the Tank has the best feel for what the comfort level of the Healer ( and themselves ) is.
The DPS has no clue about this and shouldn't be screwing around with that.
