It will get better people
First you state EVERYONE is able to play but that is not correct because some peoples real life might not allow for trying to play with queus what they are. People may all have access to play but that does not mean that everyone is able... i suppose if you have no job and no responsibilities you can rearrange your life to play during optimal windows other then that most players are at the mercy of queu time
SQENIX's bank account said it was a successful launch.
not another one...
How do you know it will get better? Square Enix literally said nothing on how they will fix it, they blamed it on the customers. The Forums and Twitter is filled with people, that defend them and respond to every critique you make with "then unsuscribe, noone is forcing you to play it".
Everyone who says this game launch was a success, except monetizing effects, is blatantly just ingoring the fact what queues like that do to a game. But *inhales a lot* Let Papa Erunest explain you the World:
If queues keep up like they are now, people will stop queueing and a growth in players is no longer possible because every new player won't play a game, that has this problem of a queue. And for everyone who thinks this is the solution: Why should this be a solution anyone wants? Less players is not good. the more the merrier. It just has to be adresse hardware wise. Which SE blatantly ignored to do so. On Top if things keep up like that, negative press will start to pile up - and a bad image will be drawn as well.
All of this above results in less revenue over time - less success. No MMO Lives of the Money the make off a launch of a expansion, they live of the people that stay after the first big wave has flattened down.
And noow to the successfull launch for the people:
Story is good, game itself is good. But the queue is bad. And sadly, the queue is something EVERYONE hits. even those who are playing are getting hit by hit. I don't know how you play, but i play an MMorp - emphasis on the MM. Especially the second M. Multiplayer. I'm playing this game with my friends. and it literally is impossible for us to play with friends under the week because they cannot logg in, get kicked and then cannot join back etc. We literally had to do EVERYTHING this addon solo / random. And this cannot be the goal of a game, where a big emphasis is on "play with your friends".
And i don't know a single one who were able to play with his friends and guildmates at all. Because at least one is ALWAYS stuck in a hour long queue.
Because it was successful? Beyond the queue issue which we were warned about repeatedly, the game is running smooth. I haven't had any lag, FPS drops, or any disconnections.
