Limsa is the only logical choice, because it is the first entry in the teleportation log that let's you world travel and has an easy to access market board.
Sharlayan was my choice as soon as I saw the market board. I love the music and the city looks stunning. Plus no bots!
I already see a ton of people crafting with me at the city center. A wide open space like that is also great for spotting nice glamours.
I'll probably keep it in Old Sharlayan for cost purposes. Return is free and the Aetheryte in the Confluence is free so Ilsabard's effectively no-cost to get to. My apartment's in Lavender Beds so I get reduced travel to Gridania and the FC house is in Shirogane, so travel to Othard's reduced as well. I've never been a big fan of Limsa or Ul'dah in general so they're out of contention.
Seems to be pretty even, which I honestly didn't expect.
Sharlayan, cause its going to be less and less crowned the coming months.
Retainers and Marketboard and even crafter stuff are close to the aetheryte BUT Limsa is the one that also has server visit.
But yeah Sharlayan looks better, so ill be moving there as my chilling spot, i play alone anyway, no one to visit n such xD
You cant deliver collecables and no splendors vendor in sharlayan, radz at han would be perfect if not for how its missing a market board. Like for real, why would anyone make it so you only access half in both cities?
Limsa will probably remain king, simply because it's accessible to everyone. Sharlayan is gated behind progressing through a 300+ hour long story. Many people have jobs and can't play more than a couple hours a day, let alone every day, and this is a game where it is easy to get distracted by side activities or levelling up alt jobs and such.
Personally my new AFK spot and go to area is the Elpis flower field in a certain area with its music now.
