I am weird i find dots and dot management enjoyable especially when they proc other skills. I do hope we get another dot style class in the future cause i do enjoy them, and i did enjoy old smn even though it really was not a smn per-we.

The irony is that its still more "complex" than something like the Redmage, RM is still just press 1, into 2/3, and then when 4 or 5 procs use those and then press 2/3 again, once bar is full use your basic sword rotation and back to the start, SMN definitely feels more watered down somehow, the only good thing is that when it gets to 90 you'll be literally summoning the bosses then selves to do a big animation skill and then its back to Ruin and Festerx2 every 60 seconds lol, perhaps I'm just used to games that require you to think at least a little bit, the only additional now is and summoning Bahamut/phoenix every minute and then using your 3 summons in a row after using the skill that also comes after summoning.
Honestly, it feels very very basic. Same level of play at level 50 as it is at 80.
You do your Trance then spam ruin for 15 seconds, pick a Primal and spam either single target or AoE, repeat. Toss in a few ED and Fester for good measure. Lv. 86 only adds Deathflare button to the mix but no super change there. Ruin Mage 2.0 in my opinion.
Carbuncle is useless now and keeping "Devotion" on carbuncle only compounded the issue we have had for four years now because we can't use it during Demi or Primal states.
It needs to be at 90 to feel good IMO. Below that it's a clunky mess. It's very much IMO a MCH rework. I like it because it's simple and braindead. But I also loathe it for the same reason.
I don't particularly miss dots either. However, I'm not enjoying how Gemshine and Precious Brilliance work. Just replace the buttons for the Outburst / Ruin line of spells when you're attuned to a particular element in the same way that bahamat and phoenix work.
The one thing I do miss is the duration of bahamat and phoenix. It was a mark of skill to get *two* enkindles off over the duration. Now there's no chance of that. You get one and you might as well use it right away.
The one button wonder, once again the rework is more of a curse only pleasing people that never played SMN to begin with
If you don't like it, don't play it.
I mean, yeah... But all you can do is submit feedback and then either suck it up or play another Job.
