im actually seeing a lot of this, and i am curious as to why the US playerbase seems to have this idea that OCE shouldnt have their own servers. Or is this a case of its fine for others to have bad lag and a poor gameplay just not them?

And as for restrictions, those are about to be thrown out within four weeks or less. People do come and go from Aust now as it is, so you are wrong. I know that Japan are trying to lift international travel in Oct with them lifting that region from lvl 3 to lvl 2 but that still is just essential travel. For the OCE crowd i hope that winter doesn't cause covid to spike back up in either place or they might be looking post 6.1 into 6.2 for SE to get engineers down there.Quote:

I'm on the Elemental DC and the great majority of English speakers I play with are from Southeast Asia and Oceania. We've got a few North American players, but most of us are folks who have live in Asia or have lived there at some point and started playing while there or wanted to maintain ties to the place they lived.
I'd say the overall non-JP population across all JP DC is roughly equivalent to 1/4 to 1/3 NA, I'm completely spitballing here, but it seems about right. If absolute worst-case scenario happened, I could see SE making the hard decision to prioritize increasing capacity in NA simply due to numbers. I don't think we're at that point yet, and hope we never get there, but it's not out of the realm of possibility. I love my OCE friends and hope they get their own DC soon; it's past time! -

I hate to tell you this.... but its spring in Australia headed into summer.
Winter ended two months ago. :rolleyes::rolleyes:
