If you dont want to farm essences, get a group together of people who don’t want to farm essences and run DR with that group.

Otherwise, whack a few plants for 20 minutes. Or go to the marketboard and buy a stack of forgotten mems.

It's not just a 20% increase in damage. Let's look at the irregular and deep irregular essences. These increase tank damage output about ~90% iirc off the top of my head. That's an insane increase of dps, and makes tank throw out dps level numbers. More than essenceless dps. Similar essences exist for healers. People using these easily can cut a DR run from 45 minutes to 25 easy.

Why would we do that when we can simply hit que? It's no inconvenience for us. You have the problem, it's yours to solve not others.

Essences help make DR go faster. A slow DR run is a problem for everyone involved, especially when everyone has to do a minimum of 15 to complete their relics, or a lot more than that if someone plans to complete more than one. It's on everyone to put in the effort, though sadly there's a lot of players like yourself who don't agree.

No, it's not a problem for everyone involved. I have said already I am chill and don't mind at all if it takes 20mins or 40mins. So again, if you want to speed run... Go into the many party finders that provide just that instead of bitching? You being in a rush is not my problem, I owe you nothing. You wanna do all 15 asap, cool. I am happy chilling at my own pace. It's on everyone to kill the bosses, that's it, anything else is your personal fee fees. If you don't have the time for a 40min run I suggest not queing the normal way and joining the speed runners.

I have said before, I pot when I have them or if I feel like try harding my dps for funsies. But if I wanna do a run where I am chill and listening to some music or half watching some anime? That's my prerogative to do so :)

As much as I like to bash people for not using essences as the next person this is a fallacy.

Using essence requires more effort than to not use essence this means that the outliers based on generalization are actually the people using essence, why should the majority adjust to the minority?
To be fair to the majority is to be unfair to the minority and vice versa.
This means that unless the majority group is actively harming the minority, by right of majority you have to adjust to them.

Doesn't mean you can't call them on their bs though.

And you drag 23 other players down while reaping the benefits and contributing nothing. This is the problem with 14.

Nothing? Sorry didn't realise me using all my combos etc counted as nothing? I dance partner, dot w/e depending which job I choose to go in as. I contribute. Just because it's not enough for YOU does not mean it is nothing. You have avenues available to you to get fast clears, if u won't take the initiative to take part in those things, that's a you problem. It's not a 14 problem, it's a "You don't play how I find acceptable" problem Aka a YOU problem. Get over it sweets.

I actually almost hate myself for saying this but you would be mostly correct on this specific thing...within the context of this thread. Not using an essence is actually detrimental to the group as a whole. Now I've done it before when I was low on essences, but I am also fairly confident in my own abilities to at least partially make up for it. If I'm on RDM, I spend a lot of time raising people, usually in my own group, for example. lol There are ways to contribute without them, but overall it's really not recommended to not use one at all. The pros vastly outweigh the cons.
