Gotta love bait threads. The OP first post is eerily similar to Merhouse's post with the bolded title and so on.
Literally you're just feeding this troll.

Is this what we do nowadays? If anyone thinks a thread is a "troll" thread.. just not post in it..
To me, this OP has genuine intent. Their heart is in the right place. There are tons of griefers in this game. I really wish more could be done about them, but like someone posted they have to actually admit to it. You can't criticize them either, definitely not call them out, without risking a ban, it seems.
Today I ran into a sam who was acting like they were doing so much damage. They were like yo I hit so hard, I am doing so well.
I wanted to share ACT nope homie you are getting out damaged by a brd and a drk.
I don't want to know what makes a person think that everyone with an odd opinion, proposal or question is the same "troll" from another post. Maybe I didn't know that ACT is against ToS. Maybe I downloaded it myself to train on dummies and learn how to deal as much dps as possible. I had read that I shouldn't mention using ACT in chat to bash on someone which is common sense because you shouldn't do that even without ACT. I didn't know it was an illegal 3rd party.
I wouldn't have bothered asking if I was certain of the answer to my question. Precisely to avoid similar responses. Not everyone has time to spend on ffxiv forums. I prefer playing.
Sometimes I troll back, if you could call it trolling..
If a Tank refuses to CD, like at all, I stop healing.
I had a Tank the other day that pulled and stopped doing everything, on several pulls.
When I confronted him "politely" he said he was eating a Pizza.
I kicked him ^^
Felt good. Don't take bs from strangers
I'm not queue'ing for a dungeon and then after i'm in go walk my dog.
If you don't know the person, should cut them some slack and be willing to believe they are having a bad day and not slacking on purpose. There isn't an official damage meter for this reason, to avoid people getting mad at party members doing low numbers.
If you're unwell enough that it impacts your performance just
Don't play a multiplayer game.
It's not that hard.
When I get sick or something, I just don't queue and do something that's singleplayer. Don't make excuses for them when they could be crafting or running trusts instead.
You can honestly say that in your time in FFXIV you have never done multiplayer content at a less than perfect level? never had a phonecall, angry spouse, pet on the keyboard, child throwing up, tree crashing through the window, teen chewing your bandwidth with a pr0n torrent?
You are an amazing person if you are able to play at the top of your game all the time.
You know, there is a difference between having something come up during an instance and queueing up for something knowing you're going to underperform.
And yeah, if I something comes up mid-duty that really affects how I play, I just dip, because I don't want to be a deadweight.
Regardless though, I've endured worse while playing than a headache, and it never prevented me from playing at savage-level, let alone magically render me unable to AOE.
Edit: And also, there is a difference between playing less than perfect and underperforming.
