I do too, pple assume this is happening on a daily basis or something. I never happens, but once in a while it does, it happened twice in 1 year i'd say. And when it does, it kind of sucks that S-E did not do anything to prevent that. Other MMO i played do have system in place for this.

Once we got the mailing system in, maybe S-E can make it that any gear that was yours and your INV was full or for some unforseen reason you weren't able to carry it out of the dungeon, disconnect etc... they can have the server automatically mail you the item.

You call it stupid proofing I see it as a welcome change, not that I ever managed to sell something by accident.

Like I say some people see a good idea like the OP's and quickly jump on the defensive it makes my head spin how some of you guys are so quick to shoot down a good idea.

I'll say it again. Make it for the server to drop the item in your INV at a later time when space is available. Other games do this and for a reason, they don't go and tell their subscribers well it's your fault for not making up space, you gotta be proactive. These little things make the difference between a 5 or 10 mil subs MMO and a 50k subs one.

So STO and DCUO are utter rubbish because they will not let you pick drops up if your inv is full?

In STO mobs drop containers, you pick the containers up, if your inventory is full it will not let you pick it up, then you have to go into your inv to clear things out and pick it up again.

Not letting you get items when your inv is full is STANDARD in MMOs, where you gonna put them... up your ass for safe keeping? dont sell me those meat miqabobs a mob just dropped then.

Ok lets take a look at what 2.0 is bringing to the table.

We are getting 5 bags each with 25 inventory space.
Drag and Drop.
Need before Greed on dungeon loot.

I think all in all the bases are covered.

In 2.0 we get addons also, with any luck someone will make an addon to filter out items you don't want to keep/pick up.

Are we getting bags? You sure? I had not heard that before. Sounds good to me, you can arrange items by category for each bag. Would make managing inventory a lot easier, especially with drag and drop.

Yes, it's a lame mechanic to prevent something from being vendored.

The smart thing would've been to allow the idiot to go back and do the appropriate quest/fight.
