1.22 Monk weapons

You know SE...They pick certain jobs they like, and ones they don't they troll the hell out of them^^ I mean... look at PLD, both in FFXI and FFXIV....

Monk really did get the shaft as far as theme and aesthetics go.


Though those Garuda weapons are pretty sexy.

At first i was like "wtf bricks ?", but hten, while they're ridiculous, they are also fun in some way. Hey imperial, take a brick on your teeth !

Some of you need to lighten up and not get so annoyed over silly designs in a GAME. Yes some of the weapons look ridiculous and over the top, that's the point. Out of all the Pgl/Mnk weapons in the game we have only 2 that are silly, Mogfists and the Bricks of Doom.

Yeah your all getting perfectly fine wolf/lion head fists soon anyway!

PLD in XI was fine and was most certaintly the go to tank in most HNM situations thanks to their relic's Aegis absurb block rate and huge magic damage reduction. Considering PLD could PLD/NIN and do it better than NIN with an aegis is really saying something about the class.

Any HNM LS worth something had picked a pld and pooled currency for them to get an aegis... so saying "Oh, but it was a relic weapon..." Doesn't really cut it.

The PGL weapons look different that's for sure... I'd like to see how they're used in game before I have an opinion though... The moogle weapons look like Sock'em Boppers though :P

I beg to differ. The Garuda bow is so wide when drawn you can't see what you're shooting at. It looks more like a tactical shield than a bow. Also, every primal sword we have so far looks incredibly poor for actual combat situations. They're parade weapons at best.

Still, fist weapons are probably the worst off in FFXIV. Not only are the highest level drops ridiculously over the top, every single weapon in the PGL/MNK arsenal, other than the knuckles, actually don't work because they're not supported at the wrists/arms. Shields always have a strap or a similar feature to keep it supported against the arm for the same reason. The grip alone just can't keep the weapon steady and you'll only end up hurting yourself.
