Castrum Lacus Litore declining participation

Well people are actively punished for doing it so no wonder it's been abandoned by players. I was hoping that they would leave the outdated KO penalty mechanic out of it but I guess not. Maybe they will figure it out before the next expansion's Eureka.

Well, I was just harassed into joining a Castrum run at like 3 am by zone chat.. got a clear for them! I pretty much got nothing out of it, but it sure does feel good helping players get their clear! Also, I am level 15. It's a shame, the raid is actually pretty decent, even enjoyable to go through. Some thought really did go into the raid design.

This is where the developers are at in Bozja right now.

I'm not upset that they have completely mismanaged Bozja.

I'm upset it's been in this state for this long.

I'm upset they actually made it worse by adding coins to map Fates and CE's and did nothing to Castrum to compensate.

It's a few extremely simple fixes and everyone knows what they are. The fact that they haven't implemented them are pretty insane to me for this team's reputation.

1) ADD METTLE TO CASTRUM. There is zero reason you should come out of there worse than when you went in. Castrum should be the BEST way to level form 10-15.

2) Add a Undying Memory and a bitter memory count to each boss. 5-10 undying and 1-2 bitter is fine.

That's all that needs to be done. Anything else is gravy.

There HAS to be an INCENTIVE to go in there or, news flash, no one will. There has to be a compelling reason to get players who have already completed it once to go in, and right now there simply isn't.

Pretty surprising and disappointing they haven't addressed this issue yet. I really don't understand it, it should be an easy enough fix and it's very discouraging to users trying to get a clear. One shouldn't have to resort to using discord for a group for something like this. I have an alt who just hit level 8 so it won't be long before I'll be needing a clear.

This game is notorious for not fixing stuff like this fast it usually takes untill the next real patch to get these kinds of things fixed.

I think the most important thing would be to add a dungeon-sized chunk of job exp to Castrum, because anecdotally that's the the reason I saw the most when people stopped doing it. They wanted EXP the most and Castrum didn't give any.

And the droprate for upgrade items should be increased dramatically. The hyper-low droprates just make it seem impossible to get them that way, and you need thousands of coins to buy them all so your only option becomes extreme monotony.

I don't think it's important at all to add mettle to Castrum, because you don't want the rest of the zone to die off and put us back at people afking or instance hopping for Castrum while ignoring everything else.

The zone has an hour to be alive between castrums, or for people who can't be in castrum (sub 10). When castrum drops you want people to WANT to run it.

I think in the future they should keep things like Castrum Lacus to the duty finder. Especially since it's going to be required to do the relic weapon. Open world events always die out over time but things being in the roulettes people grind for tomes will always be healthy... except guildhests maybe lol.

This will blow up when the next chapter of Bozja is released and people can't continue the story because they didn't finish Southern Bozja because Castrum was part of it. Instanced content doesn't work long term in this game unless it's part of a roulette.
