One of the greatest reasons to use Dissipate is now a Moot Point.

At this point I just want an entire rework. I'm heartily sick of SE fundamentally misunderstanding the class they've made and /why/ SCH rarely healed before.
I might pick up AST at this point because I can only imagine the stupidity awaiting SCHs in 6.0.

SE likes to double down on the "intended design" even when it conflicts with actual gameplay. If they want us to heal more and DPS less than the need to make fights require more healing. Nerfing healer DPS doesn't fix the problem, it just annoys the players.

Add more AoEs, do more random targeting for unavoidable attacks, put a permanent DoT on the party so the healer has to constantly watch people's health. Do SOMETHING that makes us actually have to use our healer kits.

Maybe if they gave SCH back the trait "Quicken Aetherflow" with no changes from how it worked in Stormblood, adjust Dissipation to buff Aertheflow actions' healing potency, Fey Illumination (and the seraph version) to affect Aetheflow healing actions then maybe, just maybe, there would be more incentive to use Aetheflow for more healing. I have no confidence that the DoT adjustment will really compensate because Biolysis -alone- didn't compensate for losing Miasma, Shadowflare and/or Miasma 2 in our rotation.

the buffs to broil and bio more than compensate for the ED nerfs. basically scholar plays the exact same as before, but its only more punishing now because ruin ii has a greater opportunity cost than before. Ironically this will only make people want to heal less

And more importantly it doesn't address any of the core issues facing SCH right now, or any of the issues while leveling.

2 of the 3 changes affect high level play.

Yoshi has spoken, the core issue facing SCH is that they weren't spending enough time spamming heals. Now, whether those heals are necessary is immaterial. Skill caps are for DPS. Dance emotes are for healers.

It's also not the first time he's stated that as being the reason behind other absurd SCH changes either. To the point that I'm honestly confused as to what kind of class they think SCH is. I'm not really sure they even know at this point. It's supposed to be a shield healer but they made our oGCDs so powerful and plentiful that casting succor and even adlo is often a last resort. It's supposed to be the more involved DPS healing job to compensate for that and yet they removed our dot suite and are always one step away from removing energy drain. If someone told me that they just line a dart board with potential changes for the class and pick whichever the darts hit to implement I'd honestly believe them.
