lots of rp stuff like this doesn't really matter when you can, basically, just... choose not to rp with someone who doesn't click with you and what you want.
literally doesn't matter, you can let them tell their story and you can go tell your own. Neither of you are required by any rule or law to interact/work together if you don't... want to.

Saying that your RP character is THE Warrior of Light is like saying that you're more important than everyone else in the group. If your group is fine with that, sure, have fun, but for RPing with random people, it can come across as condescending and kinda dickish. Literally we're all WoL so really it's not about the title anymore. Why can't people look at it like the MSQ is your day job as the WoL, the one taking all the actual game quest and doing the things we do in MSQ and RP as days off or after you save the world. Use the good old off-game to sort this kind of things out! I'd imgine it is courteous to let your potentil new RP buddy to know something about your character, for example that he/she is WoL.
And from there you can agree, if that is good premise.
There is girl in my FC who has developed her character with premise that the character is WoL. But she is not annoying about it at all, and seems to prefer to just write fanfiction and make cute fnart about the scenarios she and her bff thought experiment about their characters. Very harmless.
At the end of the day, trying to make other people to think about rp like you do seems nothing short of moot to me. People who agree with you alredy agree with you, and you will save everyone's time by leaving people who prefer it differently to their busines, and everyone wins. -

However, five years later, there is The Warrior of Light, slayer of primals, the bane of acsians, and the hero who saves two worlds is a bit taboo. No one will feel like you are god-modding RP if your and adventure who was at the Fall of Dalamud, and no one would care if you RP as a member of the Warriors of Light, but some will take offense if you claim to be the one true hero of this world, however, if you have a good RP group, and your group is fine with it, do it.Quote:
