Frustrating relative lack of LGBT NPCs in this game

It is. Like I'll agree that some representation would be nice, but it needs to be in such a way that isn't their personality and instead implied by this or that (since I'm pretty sure Hydaelyn doesn't have homo/transphobia), like with Minfillia's look-a-like in the Rising event who has said in the past

Unfortunately, OP is a troll and is clearly trying to start a hate war (as evidenced by some of their posts in this thread, some of which were copy-pasted from the reddit post I linked).

I just wrote in Thancred thread that most comfy way to view any NPC to me is to leave them blank slates untill/unless anything gets, like, confirmed.

Freedom is great like that: when nothing is strictly confirmed, I can RPG and headcanon the sparkles out of all my fav NPC.

And it's not like there isn't very very likely trans lesser NPCs around.

Yikes, I believed you about them just using that Reddit thread as a script, but that's just copied and pasted. Trolls these days are so lazy. They just rip off other people's stuff and let everyone else do the arguing for them. Back in my day, yadda yadda.

The funny part is, I found that thread completely by accident. I searched something along the lines of "FFXIV Minfilia rising wife lgbt" or something, since I was going to mention her in response to OP, but then 'lo and behold, a very familiar thread title appeared.
So now any time this OP starts a new thread, I'm just gonna see if they got it from somewhere else.

If they could find a way to make it natural in-story. Elsewise you just end up with what Netflix does and add a LGBT+ character who has the sole purpose of being LGBT+, you can take that trait away from the character and change absolutely nothing in the story.

How would an NPC be identified as LGBT? Special color, a big marker hanging over it's head? And what difference would it make when you're interacting with them to pick up or turn in a quest?
