In a good way? On the old servers distribution there was like a medium of 500~600 on each server. Since each new server is the merge of two old ones and there is a complete new one i don't think we are worst that before. IMO the population grow a little after patch 1.21. At least on Balmung i saw more activity on the olds lvl 1-20 camps on Ul'dah.

Before we have 18 servers, assuming on each 500~600 on characters that leave with a 9000~10800 char online at peck times. Now we have 10 server where 9 have a pop of 1200~1300 on peck time and one with 600~ (Ragnarok) so the total will be 11400~12300. This is thought with really small amount of samples and rounding up number, don't take it to seriously.

The numbers in the 1200+ range are more reassuring, but when I'm doing my searches on Hyperion I'm only turning up around 600 users during peak NA hours. That's pretty bad.

12k on at a time is good numbers, now think of what that means for total population(not online population)

I like the numbers now...
For me, launch was TOO crowded... Not having repair NPCs load.. Adventurers guild doors not opening...
30 minutes to vendor 40 items from a days worth of adventuring....
we had to stay ahead of the leveling pack just to have stuff to grind on...
I like it now.. busy.. always someone on... but not so busy that it hurts

On FFXI before i quit (Aug 11) on Ragnarok there was around 1000-1500 on low time and 1500-2000 on peck time. Ragnarok is a mid populated server, Odin it have the biggest (as far as i know) pop and there are a few servers with lower that Ragnarok. Soo rounding up there are 16 server on XI on 2000 thats 32000~ active players. Of course its lower since it have such a bad begging but thinking that today state is the base amount and with 2.0 release a lot of new ppl will join the only way the numbers can go is up. I hope...

the search has revealed something incredible....
There are 19 Level 50 English speakers online on my server right now who have no grand company....
16 of those are level 50 conjurer (And straight dashes (-) in all other classes)
and low and behold... they are in two 8-man parties
They are all in Lower La Noscea together...
And this is the kicker... they are all Lalafells....

What a coincidence... what are the odds?
