How Do You Usually Greet People in DF/PF?

Either o/, Hi or Good Evening. If it's my first time and I feel like it, I add a short "Mandatory first-time(r) notification" especially if I felt brave and queued as tank (even though my latest MSQ-required dungeons were as Dps) :o, but recently it worked out without it as I usually consult yt to calm down my nervers xD, or in extreme cases "I try to die not too much *emoji*".

Depends on who it is. I can tell you..well you should know this, that at least in the South US, greeting is very respectful and thus very rude when you don't greet someone back. I'm a southerner so yes it will bother me, but certainly not in the realm of "I WILL REPORT YOU". I used to open greetings quite a lot when I started playing this(southern hospitality), but as more and more people(all 3) would not greet back, the less and less inclined I wanted to greet and it would sting every time it happened. Now I only greet if at least one person greets in the party.

Of course it will bug most people, but greetings are pretty important to some cultures.

Usually just "Hello".

Over here it's the joining person that is expected to greet first. So i someone comes in and says hi, I say hi. If they join and say nothing, they get nothing from me ^^

Well, I lied. I do greet people IF they address me by name. Usually "Hi", and that's it. I never initiate though. :)

I usually go, "What happened lol?" or something like that when I join in progress.

I always say "hii" with two i

I usually just do an emote.

/laliho being the norm for the time being.

I'm very happy for the Lali Ho! emote, it's a quick press of a button and doesn't make any annoying sounds or takes too long to perform.

I don't usually say anything. They're people I won't see again, so I don't care much.
