The 5.X era Relic Weapons

Grenoldt may be involved in the 5.X relic weapons? Albeit possibly different than Gerolt. I'm kind of hoping a bit that they don't involve Rowena with the relic again.

The exact opposite of 4.0 relic.
That means no new Eureka (even though yooshi said it will be a mix of 4.0 and 3.0 for the new relic), and a more interesting design.
2.0 zeta were and still are a masterpiece.
3.0 were flashy with a unique animated thingie to each.
4.0 just existed with a generic aura which only changed color

I'm expecting the Shared FATE system will play a role (if a small one at least) in the new relic. As for weapons...I'm expecting Gunbreaker's relic to be Save the Queen due to the nature of the Gunbreaker's lore.

Hoping for some Eureka style content, there's still so much stuff they could do with it. Eureka was some of the best content in this game from StormBlood

Honestly Eureka without the fate spam garbage would be great.


The older relics where it involved spamming tons of old fates, then spamming old dungeons 1000 times, then spamming other crap to get 10000+ poetics was just awful.

Though Save the Queen was normally a Sword weapon which would go more to Paladin due to their role as Royal Knights.

(still holding hope for True Lionheart as the Relic or may a FF8 theme event to give it out for free as a FF8 weapon skin since Revovler is already used for the expansion collector reward.)

Save the Queen has been many things over the course of the series, so it being a gunblade would work. It has been a 1h sword, a whip (FF8), a greatsword, a fist weapon (FF13), a bow (FFCC: Echoes of Time), and if you want to include outside series (yet still Square-Enix) games, a staff/rod in Kingdom Hearts and a gun in Blood of Bahamut.

ragnarok is normally a sword but it's a Axe in 14
So names don't need to be 100% accurate to past weapons

As long as Eureka or Diadem or any form of that kind of content is not apart of them I will be fine with them.

Also I believe 5.0 diadem is just
diadem remade for restoration of ishgard not another eureka
