You should not need to use a Fantasia for minor character customizations.

I honestly never considered it before reading this topic but I suppose it only makes sense now that you bring that up. Making test characters on another server is a clunky alternative and supposedly there is a daily character creation limit too which might be a problem if you are really fussing over subtle details like skin tone or something.

Those will be fixed in a upcoming patch, it was confimed that some of the Viera voices were bugged and not right.

It would be nice if you could change your skin color without a fantasia. At the very least, let us freely change to a skin tone within the skin color row the player has selected.

I understand face/eyeshape/height/race. I don't understand skin colour (cuz your character could tan like Thancred, or lose their tan), tail type (for Miqo'te at least. Who's to say you didn't buz your fluffy tail to make a lion shaped tail?), and voice (because, let's face it: who wants to spend another $10 on a voice that turned out to be crap considering you can't preview ALL the sounds beforehand).

Voices need to be able to be changed at the very least. Most people tend to hear combat voices over the few emotes you get to preview, and no preview on battle voices.

Yes, I chose voice 7 for Viera and paid another 10 to get rid of it.

Mm.. alot of games that have multiple voices to choose from tend to have a "preview" button that if you press it more than once it will cycle through all the different sounds it can and will make.

That would be nice too. I know SE is really uptight about refunds and item restores so I'd just like to be able to change things I can't preview for free.

Though if I had my wish granted we'd be able to re-customize our character (not race change or gender change) on the CSS. Though I don't see myself ever using a fantasia again unless they introduce another race akin to Viera, maybe foxes/wolves or something, so I don't really have too much investment in the discussion overall.

Maybe ..... a 'plastic surgeon' npc ?
