But didn't they say Chimera was going to debut in 2.0? I'd be pleasantly surprised if Chimera showed up in 1.21 instead. :)

I think they said new monsters will pop up between now (1.19) through 2.0, with 2.0 seeing the real increase in monsters.

Only if it has effects like when you chop of Hydra heads, like it will change the flow of battle or remove a regen effect for example, since current incap system has nice effects (mainly on the buffalo) but it's exactly..a tide changer to be honest, given how easy in general the game is.

Love the 50's sounding clip at the end. Wonder what that's going to be for? Also yay chimera! Hope we get some this patch.

I knew my ears weren't going deaf.. I thought I heard 50's Music at the end of the BGM :P I wonder the same thing... but I love the Overworld (soundish) theme the first song of the BGM :D

If it is or isn't Chimera, its been in the .dats since last patch. So /shrug.

I think that you probably just mistyped this, but the top sample is "recommended for people age 33 and up", whereas the bottom sample is "for people age 32 and under".

Well the model is already in XIV's current data, so its not too far a stretch to see it pre 2.0.

I HAVE to know whats up with the FFIV fanfare being in there.

I'm not sure about chimera but would love to fight that thing before 2.0. As for the new cockatrice mob that was in the .dats it may be in the warrior quest there is a pic showing the warrior hitting something blue with talons which could be the cockatrice.

Either way I can't wait to dive into patch 1.21.
