Played on iRO Sakray for most of my RO career. WoE'd with the _Callous family for a while, quit, came back for a little to hang out in Sexy Noob Society, quit again.

Then when iRO Sakray was going to be deleted and the community allowed to migrated, I ended up on iRO Loki WoEing with Deus Ex Machina for a while. Can't believe that video is 8.5 years old now >>; lol

As the other people have said I could see Dancer being a mid-range healer with a lot of movement capabilities, having both distance closers (to both enemies and friends) and backsteps. So you could have a rhythmic gymnastics (aether?) ribbon for use with AOE heal/damage, and a crystal microphone/dagger (think piezo-electronics) for spells/close-range. Tsukyomi had fan weapons so I suppose it could work, by having fans with crystals embedded in them, and attack by unfolding the fans for close-range attacks and some wind-spells, and fold or unfold them while casting depending on arm positions.

The more I think about it, the weapon doesn't need to be any one thing. As you dance, you could trace out the rhythmic dance ribbon from the crystal microphone/dagger with "light painting", and from the sides, you could unfold the "dagger" to be a fan of light/aether. The weapon could change depending on spell and action :)

If ribbons become a thing for DNC, it would be cool if the limit break would include something like threads or many ribbons of light come down from the sky (think aerial silk).

Honestly, I'd love to see Dancer having a sash type weapon - for example like in Fire Emblem. Then again end game is nothing more than who looks the best. :P

Males and females would most likely be sharing the same animations, so I feel the dancer shouldn't be too "feminine", as it would just look silly on burly men like highlanders and roegadyn.

I just don't want Dancer to be released. I think that Chemist, Green Mage, Elementalist or even that new FFXIV-exclusive job would be better as healers.

Well Elementalist is Conjurer, the base class for White Mage. Actually in French it is translated as "Elémentaliste" :)

depends on the dancing dancer will be doing really
but hasn't stopped them with all the dance emotes we have gotten thav dance as an example

Just read that to feel nostalgic.

And face dancers/gypsys and keep them from breaking through precast was one of my roles at WoE. And I has a champ back there. With 6x vit, the stuns coming from dancers wasn't really a problem for me.
