Yeah, but once you understand what he's REALLY asking you, it's rather easy to come up with the answer. Just like any boss. Like Castrum Fluminis. I ate dirt like a dozen times in there trying to figure out HOW you dodge that stupid fan attack. Eventually figured it out with some help from the peeps there and now I dodge it like a champ.
It's called learning.
its called a learning disability
i don't see why people are defending this mechanic so much, buncha SE defenders... any other kind of mechanic would have been fine, just don't bring numbers into it and ask convoluted questions to form some answer, like i could not tell you the answer even if you asked me in the simpliest way, i'd have to bust out my calculator which i do very very often
i don't think you know what a learning disability is, you're thinking of a physical disability or severe mental disabilities, i'm not a retard, i actually can do some pretty complex stuff actually, but when it comes to learning anything involving numbers i struggle with
and if they wanted to make it simple they would have used plus and minus math because it doesn't get any simplier then that, they decided to go with stuff i couldn't do without a calculator because japan is simplier smarter then us
you say remember the answers.. i can't even remember my own cell phone number.. seriously..
Disabilities come in all types, it isn't "just being lazy".
That said, Vero, the math mechanic here IS essentially simple addition. The problem comes more from it being making it a "multiplive" or "dividend" of a number which can even trip up people that would normally do well because of pressure to do it right in a short time limit. Well, it could be considered one problem.
Easiest way is many cases is to try and add up to the number the machine gives you (outside the Prime one atleast) atleast in situations where you aren't already over.
OH also, one you can bypass the 1000 character limit by editing posts (saw you say something about double posting cause of that.)

Ok here is a hint write it down use code to make it simple near your screen. With numbers that can be used. All you have to do is read it and not do math. I'm sure you can read fast enough. I don't have a learning disability and to be honest I don't remember phone numbers that is what the contact list is for on the phone and online so in case you lose your phone they are not lost. Just so you both know my brother struggles with dyslexia meaning ;a general term for disorders that involve difficulty in learning to read or interpret words, letters, and other symbols, but that do not affect general intelligence. and he plays along with me. I admire him for that and while he may struggle he does not use it as an excuse. If anything he detest being told he has a disability. When there is a will there is a way. Maybe not everyone has the self esteem to see things like my brother, I however can see where it comes in. Other choice would be to let people carry you if you really are struggling, it's ok not everyone can admit it, just many use it as an excuse.
i've already said that having a ref sheet still can cause fumble ups because of pressure... and no i can't read fast enough, i have to watch dubbed anime because i can't keep up with the text on screen and miss all the animation because thats where my eyes are focused during the dialogue
also to really nail it home how long it takes me to read.. it took me several hours to work through the 4.2 to the end of 4.3 story content
Well playing / working under pressure is a skill that takes time to develop, comes with experience. If anything people get killed more when he spins around than math portion, so you can practice till your good or just do best you can. It can be frustrating and I believe limitations are only placed by our selves. Good luck.
