With glamour, by choice.
But until you reach higher levels you're limited to job and type specific gear.
Iron works and Shire gear for example.

dancer would likely share gear with scouting class
Axing the suffixes does not remove armor classes; it just means you don't see "of fending" at the end of the name of every plate set...
I like them so long as there isn't going to be a non-tank ever permitted to wear full plate or whatever the heaviest armor type is in the collection.
And yeah, I've wanted that ever since Scouting came out. Sounds fully applicable to Archers while also just sounding outright... better.
One's visually much more armored than the rest and has far higher defense.
One would seem to provide more freedom of movement and does NOT have the stats used by the ranged classes.
One bathrobe is lighter colored or more flowery in design and has Mind instead of Det.
I.e., the same way you tell them apart in any other MMO.
I think that's what they are doing with the Eureka gear, as each set can only be worn by that particular class. All those sets are the upgraded versions of the 290 stuff you get when you complete the level 70 class quest. As of now the gear is capped at 350 (355 for the weapon). You can keep improving it though as they release more Eureka chapters.
I guess you might have to come up with more than a single word for armor?
...Like, again, most MMOs?
It's really not much a brainscratcher. If you have suffixes, you can skip common sense means of differentiation. Without them, you're limited to common sense means of differentiation. ...That still leaves all within the domain of common sense.
