Which location(s) are we likely to travel to in the next expansion? *SPOILERS*

I think Othard is more sorely in need of being fleshed out in the future then Eorzea.

The only major region I can think of there that's untouched currently is the one the Amal'jaa are native to, but that could easily be relegated to an instance like Xelphatol was.

I say let do Garlemald - finish the story. Then, blow up the world again and or 5.0 have a whole new world!!!

5.0 :
- Othard : The Nhaama, Naxcia, Greylic's Bend
- Koshu : Shishu, Daitenzen and the city state Bukyo
- Thavnair : The Corvos Narrow and the city state Radz-at-Han

If they add more zones, I would say Skatay Range, The Burn (I think more about 6.0, an enormous cave to access Ilsabard), The Arras or Yakgyr Peninsula.

I have a theory about the location , is it possible to link the reddit to find it ? (as is too big for a reply, sorry for the newbieness but i just recently get out of the shell to reach the community)

Yoshida is known to be clever and sneaky, I'm 50/50 on a wild idea that we might end up going to the Ivalice region which precedes Ilsabard/Garlemald. So while the Return to Ivalice events deal with the ruins of Ivalice, 5.0 might deal with the thriving city of Dalmasca and surrounding areas!

But like with stormblood we might get an Ivalice region and another region like Meracydia/Thavnair/Sharlayan, or maybe we get 3 this time, they've always had a way to surprise us every expansion. But yes I feel that exploring the Return to Ivalice story won't be linked to 5.0 and is used more of as a background story for the Ivalice region and after we fully free Doma they will make it their mission to free other nations under Garlemald control. This is where we discover Ivalice/Dalmasca and its regions. Yoshida mentioned that we won't get to Garlemald until 6.0 so that really cancels out going into Ilsabard in 5.0. The only region they've talked about in the story so far are "countries controlled by Garlemald have caught wind of Doma's freedom"

So yes...going into Ilsabard will require freeing those regions and the only way there is through the region that leads to Ilsabard which is Ivalice. This is my theory but it's at least been mentioned in the main story so far (kind of)

The Farreach/Abalathia's Spine was also not visited in Eorzea

Officially the Sea of Clouds is in Abalathia's Spine (according to the teleport list), though above rather than part of it. I assume Xelphatol is part of the mountain chain, and the eastern part of it extends into Gyr Abania, ending at "Abalathia's Skull" in the Lochs.

I’ve also read somewhere Yoshida mentioning that there is a target to do two more expansions. If that is the case, Ilsabard/Garlemald will be in 6.0. I would assume other Ivalice areas, the rest of Othard and Thavnair as 5.0 areas.

I do wish though they target 3 more expansions and then cap the job levels to 100. The extra expansion can go to the new world and Meracydia.

Where does Yoshi say this, exactly? I remember him saying it might take two more expansions at least to finish up the current story, but would that really have to end in Garlemald?

I think I'd be pretty sad if Garlemald isn't until 6.0, I'd rather just bite the bullet now, since they are the only thing I really want to hear about this expansion. i'm kind of conflicted, I want them to be better than the perpetually dying goons, perhaps even people we'd help, but Asahi...I'm kind of hoping for more than I'd probably get. This sounds like a prelude to yet another conflict, and that's nothing to look foward to as our victory is already so gauranteed the landscape comes prepackaged with downed airships and magitek wrecks.
