Definitely would love to have housing just like Mog House from XI, lots of stuff to stock and also have furniture have storage slots as well...and since we can sit on furniture in XIV I want the exact same thing for the housing...would be awesome...
that would be awesome if we could craft at a work bench or cook at a stove by adding that that stuff to your home! even better if someone made you your stove! give a little crafting boost and invite your friend over to use your work table because they are poor and hate diremites.
Actually having a good storage that could be upgraded were you could send your items via npc or something like that would be great, also having your retainers inside your mog house when you're not selling anything would be cool, entering your house and see one of your retainers sitting in the living room reading a book or making gardening.
But i would care more having two floor houses, with different setups and cost.
Yoshi P said, "why would you have to craft together", when asking for a reason to put in synthesis craft, well here it is, takes goldsmith and carpenter to make a mirror, wvr and crp to make a bed, you get the point, those mannequins they want us to have take maybe arm and crp and damn too many crp, maybe some of this can be all metal or something. I'd like to see some preset furniture, and some npcs that sell furniture, special furniture from grand companies you use seals for would also be kinda cool, twin adder themed bed!
I'd like to see things in housing that augment crafting. This might include signboards, or upgrades to the house itself sort of along the lines of adding a forge as an outbuilding. This might be required for the highest level items to be produced. Perhaps this would be along the lines of a relic type item for crafters.
The ability to summon your retainers in the house, and also to assign them tasks like watering the garden or taking care of the chocobo chicks.
The Moogle, if we have one in house, needs his own room this time.
House pets, or working the pets from pet jobs in. I'm sure lots of SMN in XI would have liked to see Carbuncle running around their mog house.
The ability to interact with furniture. It was sort of silly having a bed in XI that you couldn't sleep on.
One possibility with housing would be to have group housing in addition to units for individuals. Some people want to live alone and some don't. Each player would essentially need their own space and secure storage, but the rest could be community areas.
A library =D or bookshelf type thing! And one of those super fancy looking beds haha
And a garden...yeah I want one of those :)
We want to go all Sims/Harvest Moon/Animal Crossing in our Mog houses.
- Switch to newly released Shepard class and tend to my animals. Check on the Chocobo eggs and feed the chicks. Shear the sheep. Give the sick baby sheep the medicine I crafted yesterday.
- Switch to botanist and tend my crops and trees
- Fish in my private pond, (it is low level fish only so far, but that's all I need for fertilizer)
- Take the wool, feather, vegetables, and grain, and craft. Get bonuses to crafting for cooking in my own kitchen with my HQ stove.
- Call my retainers to me from my living room, have them sell the rest of the materials at the market wards. Have them seek for Lightning Crystals as I am starting to run low.
- Move around my furniture, invite a friend in for tea. Show friend my trophy room.
- Check my mailbox, mail items and notes to friends.
I think I mentioned long ago that I would love to see various options for player homes, ranging from the humble (cardboard box for the lowly noob adventurer) to the luxurious (Party palaces/halls owned and maintained by an entire linkshell) and I could see each style having a certain amount of storage space proportional to how spacious said home is. (say between 50~200 items) Of course, you would be able to invite other players into your home.
As for the linkshell-owned guildhall, it would be basically a gathering place accessible to all members of that linkshell, others would need to be granted access by the leader/sackholder.
Speaking of "Linkshell-company" houses, I like the idea of Yoohre_WildRiver where you are capable to set trophies based on the achivements or grown of said LS-company.
If we are thinking about personal rooms:
-Mannequins (I think it was wrote like that):
*Quest offered by a NPC who is renting you the "personal house".
*Quest doesn't involve fight so everyone can do it but you have to try to convince some NPCs with spech and high level difficult parley (so we use this a bit..).
*Once the quest is completed you are allowed to put 1 Mannequin in your house.
*The Mannequin is crafted by X craft (carpenter?) or diferent parts (diferent crafts) and put it togheter.
*Materials for the mannequin can be obtained from gathering or markets (retainers of people) but not from normal shops.
*You can choose the gender and tribe (Migote, Lalafell...etz) upon setting it on your personal house (so Is no need to add tons of items in-game). However you are not allowed to change it, gender-tribe.
*You can equip it like you would equip yourself and equiped items won't use anytype of slot.
*Skin apparence of wood-made.
~Extra 3 quest for mannequin (involves fight, craft or gathering):
*Fight quest (45+level). Unlockable with one job level 45 from disciplines of war or magic and involves a fight agains X NM or #number of enemys and can be done with 1 to 4 members on your party. Reward is a mannequin of the Leader of your Grand Company (Merlewyb Bloefhiswyrm.. etz).
*Gathering quest (45+level). Unlocable with a gathering 45+level. Involves spech with a lot of NPC in order to get hints of where you may get the materials for your gathering job. Upon arriving the destination a "instanced leve" start where you have X time to gather the materials.
Failing said leve will change to a unknown position the destination of the "instance". The reward will be a manequin of your character with the same details (hair, colors..etz).
Once finished the NPC giving you the quest will take the materials to a "Legendary crafter" and bring the manequin made.
*Crafting quest (45+level). Unlockable with a craft 45+level and it will require a series of syntesis (55+level) in order to work for the NPC giving the quest.
Materials for the syntesis are provided by the player. If the syntesis is failed you must wait 2hr (earth time) to attempt it again.
Reward is a manequin with a gender-tribe of your chooise (color full, details etz..)
I think this would make it worth and it would add some "live to the cities".
-----------------------------------------------------
-A Cabinet: where you can store only items from seasonal events (christmas, halloween...etz) without taking slots from your inventory (obviously). Made by carpenters.
I'm sure i can think of way more...
