Shouldn't there be a level cap raise too in 1.21?
Because they mentioned it in one of the Live Letters that a level cap raise would usher in the job system.

i never heard that or anything relating to a cap raise anytime soon, not much point to till 2.0 anyway really, and if they do, i don't imagine it'll be higher then 55

A: There is no plan to raise the level cap until 1.21, and this is because it will usher in the job system. Beyond that point up until 2.0, we would like to carefully decide what to do. Increasing the level cap will lead to wider gaps between players.
I'm a damn-sight more excited for the rest of 1.21 than I am for the Job Specialisation system.
Jobs are a nifty idea, but none of them even remotely fit my characters - except possible Hana beside White Mage.
But so far as I can tell, the Private Rooms will be like.. houses for characters who aren't part of a Free Company that has an estate (and subsequently don't have gardens/basements/customisable exteriors) - or eventually will be. I really like that idea and I really hope I'm right about it and.. yeah, I'm really excited for that. Hell I'd still be kind of excited even if it was just rental rooms of limited customisability though.. that'd be a bit of a downer.
Two new dungeons? I guess that's good.. it's not that easy to be interested in instanced raids for my part. 'Prefer to take my time and explore, and being rushed through by a combination of a timer and an impatient party is just.. meh.
Still I'm certainly curious to see how Hamlet Defence is going to work.
