Moratorium is starting to annoy me

These last two housing releases have been a complete disaster. Number one: they always have these patches go live at the same basic time... 2-3am Pacific Standard Time and always on a work night instead of a weekend. Those of us who aren't able to call in sick (because we have a schedule of patients we have to see) get screwed no matter what. Secondly, this second one most of all, was a huge problem. Everyone was banking on being able to get that house they weren't able to get the first go round and then they locked out all the individuals who don't own a house already... the individuals who actually deserve a shot at owning a house... yet they left it fair game to individuals who already owned land... Shirogane should have been fair game for everyone, period. New location that everyone wants and those people that either had FCs or those that already owned houses basically boxed everyone out of that market because of the way it was implemented.

4 person fcs and all these shouts in town about people asking fcs to "loan" them floater members... This is the environment they created. Great work SE. Way to once again make thing completely unfair. This is why you don't manipulate the market. Simply put a cap on owning 1 property per account and make it retroactive and give those individual hoarders a moratorium to sell those properties directly to others. Allow everyone to sell their properties directly to other players the way things work in real life. Leave the auto demo in place. Problem solved. At least, this would allow players to sell, even at a mark up, to other people and people could still have a fair chance at owning land. they might just have to work harder and longer and have to work on bidding wars, which happens in RL too.

No mention of housing restriction being removed. Might still happen if they're dicks (and they are, because it's Square lol), but generally would suggest y'all get some sleep.

Yeah. Kinda bizarre that anyone expected it to be a simple "switch on" at who-knows-when o'clock. It was always near-definitely going to happen on a maintenance night, because it always does. One week later (today) would've been nice, and maybe it's enough by now. But also they'd probably like to analyze actual data, rather than just looking and deciding based on feeling.

Yeah I had my alarm set in case I fell asleep just to see if they'd unlock them w.o notice. Then course seeing the note sorta was a let down. Guess this'll give FCs an extra week or weeks to acquire a home.

If it isn't just them not announcing for today don't expect it till 4.25 at best, so about another 3 weeks.

On Omega we have only the unpopular small plots left in each Ward, apart from the Goblet which has one completely empty Ward and a nice selection of Small, Medium and Large plots all throughout the new Wards added to it, which wont last long since all of the new, non-plot owners that will be seeking a house will have to fight over.

Since I previously owned a plot i was able to choose my dream house with no competition this time.

At this point, I'm starting to wonder if they're waiting for subscriptions to fall to a certain point before they lift the moratorium. Won't be as much of PR nightmares for housing if there's not as many people competing for them because of players quitting over their frustration of the game due to this matter.

The mog station release of the butler and maid outfits to me reinforce this argument since not only would they be seen as "shiny objects" to distract players from the matter (especially EU players who got shafted from the promos for them), but also for a play to use mog station profits to offset the monetary loss of what subscriptions are lost.

No mention of moratorium in the patch notes. Okay SE you win. I'll make that dummy FC to get a house. Happy now?
