So are they really going to put the new wards live when the servers go up?

It will not be first time they are doing wrong translations on a Live Letter so never take it for granted.
If it is indeed 1 hour later why there is no official announcement on forums or front page?

What I wanna know at the moment is if there will be an install. If there is, it's running real late

I had been wondering as much too, if only because the notice about the maintenance mentioned hotfixes (as in the data for wards might already be there, but locked by timing like Season Events are). Fifteen minutes until wards go live, and nada as of yet.

Also, I'll be logging in 15-ish minutes after maint ends so I don't add to the congestion. I know I won't make a difference on my own, but still... *shrugs*

Same here. I’m assuming since there are hotfixes involved, there has to be some sort of download. I just hope it’s not too hefty because I never have good download speeds with FFXIV’s patches. Patch is supposed to be live in 13 minutes, so I wonder what’s going on.

The launcher and the forums are already starting to lag considerably, at least for me.

I'd say, expect a rush....and also, no patch yet that I've seen

Edit: Well, possibly not purchasing. But I did definitely just relocate into one of the new wards.

Early reports seem to suggest many players are having a significantly easier time getting in and finding available houses, so, sounds like a big improvement to me.
