Yup heal through the nukes and then beat him to death with a staff just because you can .. mwah ha ha
As long as the PvP is tucked away in some dark corner and completely optional and gives you nothing but just "something to do" hopefully they do add a little form of it.
This can be done through PvE content as well though.Quote:
The competition between players would create some overdue spice in the game.

Even though I think Thaum (and probably to a lesser extent Con) would dominate the scene if PvP were implemented immediately without any adjustments, having played PvP in games before I can safely say there will definitely be ways to kill off mages as a melee. Once PvP hits the game all sorts of new interesting abilities will probably come right along with it, such as the ability to pull enemies in to close range, stun, silence, etc.
You also have to consider you'll have friends. In Aion I loved rocking out my Cleric while a friend stayed close in stealth as Ranger. Once you start looking at multiple jobs combining efforts, the strategy and teamwork aspect really start to shine (and I feel sorry for anyone who's not PvPing with some good communication like Teamspeak).
I won't complain if they do, but I want them to take the time to make sure it gets done right.
This is a seriously complex feature to implement.. And honestly won't add that much to the game, I'd rather them concentrate on adding new classes/jobs/gears/NMs/dungeons/anything
I wouldn't be against it being implemented if the combat wasn't this slow and the classes were built for a pvp environment.....which as far as i can tell they are not.
