I'm not currently in game but I coulda sworn there was an option for it concerning lowering the volume using in game volume bars. It might not be a volume bar for only the macro sounds but I feel like i remember something related to them.

I must admit, when overused, I can suffer sensory issues (for example, those that do like 15 lines each with multiple sound effects per line), and I'm aspergic too. That being said, I have a limited number of skills pull out macros. I am also looking into removing sound effects from some of the macros. However, as plenty people abuse them, I am all for that volume slider which will go between 0-100%. I'd probably put mine at about the 30% range personally. Means I can still hear it, but it won't be so in my face that the overused ones will give me sensory issues.
Are macro sound effects common on your data centre? I don't think I've ever seen (heard) one. o.O What are people using them for?
I don't see why we can't have an option to turn macro sounds off. Would definitely help for those that are annoyed by them or are sensitive to sounds. Also, is there a volume option that goes with this that doesn't hurt the reset of gameplay like other's sound effects or something?
It was like this in FFXI too, but FFXI actually received an update X years back that made it so that Raise could not be casted on someone who already had a Raise status (the Raise status also didn't decay in that game, although characters still auto-HPed after 1 hour).Quote:
(I don't think you should be able to spend mana on someone with the rez buff but that's just me)
This game feels strangely behind the times in that aspect.
I'd love it if they split the macro volume from the System Volume slider, because it's extremely annoying when people spam macro sounds.
I would rather not mute system sounds as that also mutes the duty finder pop sound effect. This would be a good feature for everyone.
Wait doesnt disabling sounds for party chat exist. Or does a person's macro override this setting? As I have all my chats set to a personal FF tune from the list and I have seen several Macros but none override the setting.
Non-RDM still need to use Swiftcast, so the message alerts other healers to not put theirs on cooldown. The only solution is to add a slider for this. It'd be nice for those of us without issues too not to have to listen to such alerts when playing classes that don't really need to know Swiftcast or Raise rotations.
