You'd at least be able to take comfort in knowing you just weren't fast enough, instead of feeling that you were robbed of the opportunity due to things out of your control.

I'm honestly trying to recall what trailer showcased housing for Stormblood. The official Stormblood trailer shows only cinematic.
I'm also a person that appeals to logic, not emotion, gently reminding people that housing is vanity or even a trophy, but is by no means a gate.
more than one thing within reason. they might already be designing new mobs/zones for the rest of Ivalice. but they are in no hurry to finish those which is why some of them were logically put on housing, after those are done they'll move on to zones for the next expansion.
we don't get that many new graphical elements between expansions.
I agree. Sad that Yoshi P said that he wanted people with houses to feel "special" and that's why he added apartments. Simply put, most people can't have houses because the minority needs to feel "special". F'ing stupid!
Maybe it was a fan fest video all I am finding is a cinematic and I know I saw a game play trailer with a bullet point list. https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/stormblood/ On the front page it is right between new gear and more inventory. Same list as dungeons and Return to Ivalice raid.
If SE wants to come out and say its a trophy/vanity and not meant for everyone. I will hit the like button and say argument over. It is that simple.
The special site created solely for what patch 4.1 will be bringing to the game? Okay, that's not a trailer, but a promotional page. Yes, housing is on it, as yes, 4.1 did bring open the sale of housing in Shirogane. It is not the only thing listed for 4.1's content, as well as beast tribes and squadrons (which, by your own statement, I can equally say is as much as a 24 man raid).
Lol, I'm not saying don't be upset. Be upset! Just be reasonable.
I'm thinking it was from a fanfest video as well. Like when they first showed off red mage and samurai. However, that's really a teaser trailer and not an official Stormblood promotional trailer being showcased everywhere on official sources (IE: main site and Steam). Hence my voicing my opinion on how that appears as a rather dirty tactic.
Well, my wording was more or less compare it to something with no impact in your gameplay (like glamour) over actual gates, like completing main story quests.
My link is not the 4.1 patch link it is the advertisement link to buy the game for windows. Two completely different sites.
One of my problems with housing is most seasonal events are rewarded around houses. So you lose out on content in two ways.
You said logic. Instead of trying to sell plusihes have a state of the game housing video. Explain clearly the numbers and answer the allocation system. If at the end they want to pretend they are working on a parallel solution fine. But straight answers solid numbers. I am sure this forum can put together solid questions. Instead they would answer "can I mix the paissa front with a new roof so it looks like its wearing a hat" and pretend like they dealt with the problem. I would love honest answers to how we ended up here.
I see it and will condone that it does appear as an advertisement. However, I'd also like to point out that the 24 man raid has been listed there and we just received it. It also lists Eureka, which we have yet to receive. Logic tells me this is an overall content list, but I can see how someone may read this as a selling point and will be available to them at any point.
