4.1 Housing

I remember reading that line back when they posted the 9/14/17 preview on the Lodestone but I still had some doubts about it...

Want to move my house to Shirogane but you can upgrade right? I have a small now but could use a bigger one.

The official information from Square states you can move to any size plot. :)

Do you think that entryway in the Shirogane houses is a permanent fixture, or just part of the default Shirogane flooring? Either way, it's a brand new thing, since houses have never had entryways built-in before.

I'm guessing it's permanent with possible changes depending on door choice, but not likely removable. It appears the pillars were also either gold on the inner mansion preview or they made them a more neutral coloring instead of what looked like green. Whatever the case, it looks much better than the preview image. :D

Ohhh, is that a new tank trimming I spy as well? I don't think any of them are that shade of blue and I don't recognize that little thing in the corner that appears to be a tiny treasure chest.

Looking through what we have now that does appear to be new! Looks like maybe a treasure chest and some kelp along with the blue paneling. The blue really makes it pop.

Dusty, I don't think this was touched on, but do you recall them ever talking about what will happened to the furniture in the storage if you relinquish your apartment? I was thinking of moving my apartment to Shirogane but I'm worried about what will happen to the stuff in there.

There was no mention of what happens to items in storage if you relinquish your home/apartment, but since it's likely tied to the property itself I would collect anything you can beforehand. If you plan on removing the apartment on patch day, then move any items that would be destroyed on pickup to storage and hope for the best, but know they'll probably need replacing.
