I edited my post, put the wrong numbers down. I died at boss 150 (the succubus) and yes 140 is easy if you have the pomander. Not sure if you can beat it without that one.

I do wonder if SE ever really thought how much work this second solo title is? Especially with the 0 death part on top of it. Solo is still not a cakewalk and even if you could restart at 101 again after you die, you would still need to go through 99 floors..I am not sure if there is any other content in the game that punish you that much..And on top of that, its one of the few content where a DC will mean a loss of hours of playing..I really hope that I will not have a DC on the floors after 100...could you imagine having a DC around floor 191? Or even later? Maybe even on 200 before you leave the instance?

I saw a video of a red mage trying to do boss 190 solo. She got two shotted. Just two normal hits from the boss where enough to kill her...can somebody tell me how one should survive this? She used the sustain potion and as a redmage you at least have heal but two hits and she was down. Thats insane. This will make it impossible for most of the jobs.

I just wanted to post this as well.
But we need to say, that he did not have a pomander of steel anymore. At the beginning, as a succubus, he had 3 minutes left, but wasn't fast enough to click the succubus off.

That boss does two autoattacks immediately followed by a tankbuster (Scalding Scolding), need to heal through these and succub after it. Just need to know it's full rotation and be ready when it starts cycling.
I think SE will nerf the bosses again because more than a month and nobody got that achievement. Or they'll increase level cap to 70 which will make everything trivial.

But even with steel it took like three hits to kill her/him. (And this was with sustain potion too)

@SuperZay: But can you heal fast enough to survive this solo? He/She did wrote in the reddit thread that she was not even able to double cast heal before it all went south and if a tankbuster is following these two attacks (that seems to have hit her for 18k) I cant see how any job can survive this solo. With a team you will probably have a tank to take the damage and a healer to heal them up. Or at least have more than one person to heal at the same time. I just cant see how this doable for any other job than redmage and maybe some healers (if they get past all the DPS checks to reach this boss) and I am not even sure how even those will survive this attack pattern. (Or was your post about your own solo experience?)

I do believe that they have to adjust the boss a bit. The solo title should be hard to get (but its already hard thanks to it being from 1-200 and having lots of monster between the boss floors that you cant defeat solo) but it should not be impossible or near impossible. Other content can at least be out-geared somewhere in the future, but here you simply cant do that.

I say this as someone who honestly enjoyed doing my 1-100 achievement, spent some time on the leaderboards for it, and still spends more time in Palace just for the sake of it than any reasonable person should: the whole Necromancer achievement and way they've handled the 101-200 floors is a big bummer for me honestly. Especially with how sensitive this game is about connections and booting you out, even assuming they fix the bosses to actually be reasonably do-able beyond a couple of classes and some god tier Pomander management, you've still got the looming threat of one hiccup in your connection, one DDoS at a bad time, one whatever sending you all the way back to floor 1.

I don't even know what I'm asking for here. Not an easy 1-200 achievement, because I do think it should be a challenge, but maybe tune it some so that 101-200 is slightly more do-able and let me try starting at 101 if I've beaten 100 so that I can practice those higher floors more without slogging up from 50 each time. It just feels like they didn't put any thought into it, and with how scared they seem to be of touching up old content I'm worried they never will. Maybe a handful of people worldwide, at best, with the title will be enough to change their minds.

From my quick research on the ranking, it appears that no one has been able to do all 200 floors solo, although there is a handful at 180+.

I suggest that adding a grace periods for DCs, allowing people who have cleared 1-100 solo to be able to start at floor 101 on wipe, and maybe tuning down the floor 199 boss would work wonders.

And, the grace period could not be exploited as easily as you might think. It takes a full 20 seconds to disconnect yourself so you could not use it in a pinch and upon loading back in, it is just going to put you right back where you were.

I don't think they should necessarily make it easier, but I do think they should give us a few more tools to minimize the impact of RNG. Something that'd allow better control over pomander drops would be great, and increasing the number of each pomander we could carry would be even better.

make it possible to carry 4 or 5 pomander of each kind and let str/def pomander stack one time, guess that would be enough to ensure a "safe" trip to 200

except rng really messes around :p

@ServerCollaps: Did you see the video that I linked? Steel pomander will probably not save you from this boss if you do it solo. The redmage already said that she did it with others before and even there this 190 boss can be a pain, because she is simply hitting way too hard. She had steel on at the beginning but even if she would have been able to click of succubus, she would have died after the third hit and this boss does two hits + tank buster.

In the end if they do nothing with the way this boss hit, even with more pomanders the only job that might be able to do this would be redmage. Healers and tank simply have not enough DPS to go that high and all other DD do not have enough heal to survive the boss at all.

She only had like 12 minutes left on the clock because you will need lots of time on the higher floors solo and she would have to heal a lot so who knows if she could even beat the boss in time.

And lets not forget that there are monsters on the floors that simply cant be killed solo. Yes one could say that it would be the challenge to avoid those but there is a lot of RNG in this and I am not sure if a challenge is truly a challenge if a lot is down to simple luck.

Also its a solo title for doing this from 1-200 (which alone is insane..), so it should be doable by each job. Not "1 job might be able to survive this if they are truly lucky and one should forget to even try it with the rest".

And on top of that you have the horrible DC problem...all of this together just destroyed any motivation at throwing myself at this. I would be fine if I have to restart again if I make a stupid mistake. Or if I am simply not good enough with the job. I am not fine with losing hours of work thanks to one DC or thanks to a boss being not doable at all.

SE please dont put a solo title behind this if its not even sure if you can beat it. I want a challenge and not something impossible..(or maybe possible with only one job)
