People voluntarily transferred there knowing full well it was over populated. What did people think would happen when all the players with characters on the server came back once an expansion launched.
Sure SE could have done more, but the attitude the player base shoulders no responsibility is absurd...

Though I agree, an official RP server would be nice to have and long overdue. Also SE should have opened transfers off Balmung prior to HW launch, rather than starting on launch.

This is like if you had a gaping wound and instead of using alcohol and gauze you just pour citrus into the wound. Why doesn't SE just spend money on upgrading the servers instead of wasting it all advertising for fucking Papa Johns, Hardees, and Mrs freshly's.

The point of this is to kick people out at high pop times so it gets rid of people that go afk on populated servers. So that queues are short. No point at all past 10PM to kick people because servers are easy to get in to.

The game is running on brand new servers there is nothing to upgrade. The datacenter transfer came with new servers..

Right, after we DPS have been in a queue for 30 to 45 minutes already, stop queuing for another 30 minutes to an hour since they just announced everyone was getting kicked in an hour, servers go down for 10 minutes, we probably end up waiting in a log in queue because the people who were playing are all trying to log in at once (and hopefully this isn't so bad that it crashes the lobby server), and then we get to requeue for another 30 minutes, if not more.

You make it sound so easy, but for DPS mains, these queues are horrendous right now. I don't even bother queuing for anything unless I'm going in with a tank or healer friend because I don't feel like sitting in a queue for 30 minutes to an hour (or 75 minutes like I did in Expert Roulette last night) even if I'm doing other stuff, like crafting or gathering.

yea even when i get off work it still takes 30 min to get in witch i watch a episode of anime and at times its not done =/
