Will physick be changed to match vercure?

Well that's exactly those kind of circumstances that I was looking forward to.
There's always a very specific moment in a fight where a smart burst of heal can make a phase transition much smoother and I thought the Red Mage would have been some kind of interesting choice in that regard.

I was not talking about a whole repertoire of Healing skills. But I was expecting more than 1 dumbed down cure (the dumbed down part is fine tho)

My guess without seeing the stat screen is that they just made MND increase spellpower (spell power? Whatever) for healers, because technically spells scale off off spellpower and not INT; one INT just equals one spellpower. Could just do the same and make heals scale with spellpower.

That's a pretty comprehensive white magic kit. White magic isn't just healing as much as people might want to delude themselves into thinking otherwise.

Exactly...and I don't get the negativity towards SMN having a non-useless heal. The only acceptable reason for Physick to not be as good as Vercure (or close) is if SMN pets are now near immortal...they removed sustain so how are SMN's supposed to keep their pets alive? Not with the current Physick, that is for sure.

Not anymore we can't, since sustain is gone. Titan is squishy, he'll be dying in seconds now lol. I'd say SMN uniqueness is multitasking, sustained damage and damage without lifting a finger lol. I send ifrit and garuda out to kill annoying creatures out in the world as I continue my relaxation.

Ignoring lore or job history or whatever, from a technical standpoint, it makes more sense for SMN to have a decent cure. RDM to cure is giving up dps as they could be casting a strong spell instead of cure. SMN on the other hand, most of their damage comes from DoTs and oGCDs, so what is SMN giving up to use physick? A ruin cast? The damage loss between the 2 jobs to cure is fairly different. Sharing a base class with a healer also has seen to it getting a lot of support skills like virus and eye for an eye (though they will be losing these in stormblood). From its original design standpoint, which has admittedly changed significantly, I saw SMN as more of a support role, where the pet was supposed to be the focus for damage, while the smn would place DoTs and focus on helping cover the party with physick and support skills or add more dps with ruin when those weren't needed, and this would carry over into solo with Titan egi.

Using titan egi is already huge dps loss because it is not doing as much damage than dps pets. And what happen to enmity once you summon bahamut? you need give up for huge dps that bahamut offer for you if you wanna keep enmity with titan. Titan have no provoke so summoning new titan after first one dies is not option either. Seems like you have to either run circle while spamming ruin2 soloing content or get company chocobo and hope that heal enough your titan.

The purpose of skill pruning was to reduce button bloat and useless skills. So they took out Sustain (useful) and left Physick (useless) in place. :confused: The only way for that to make sense is if Physick scales with INT or at least has increased potency when healing pets.

They can't remove Physick from Arcanist because SCH uses it. So that is probably why they removed Sustain but kept the useless skill for SMN. They might as well remove Summon II since its use is already niche and now even less since we can't keep it alive. Physick needs to be INT based, I see no reason why not considering they didn't nerfed the RDM cure too.

What the hell is the point of Titan if there's no sustain? Soloing MSQ?
