so your saying its acceptable to release a patch with a gamebreaking bug?
gotcha
releasing a broken patch vs delaying it a few days, its all about which is the lesser of 2 evils, and anyone whos ever played a real "broken patch" in any mmo would tell you its better to delay a patch by a measly 2 days to fix it vs not being able to log on cuz the server is always crashed(in which case theyd be waiting to log on anyway)
it's because u never seen a game with dateline laid out for you 2 year before......... other company would simply keep it quiet until they finish the patches then announces maintenance date and you would never know if they delayed the patch or behind schedule because players are not expecting when it will come. Logic, can you have it?
Right that is because some other games just push it out then either wait till a player finds it and goes woops we didn't know about that *HOTFIX* or they just later go *HOTFIX* "we found this bug in the system and fixed it" or "sorry but the spell XXX for class ZZZ had a bug where it incorrectly made the spell do *STUPID* damage and one shot everything. This has been fixed". Yeah never knew any games that ever did that...
In the end I don't care they found a bug and they are fixing it and so the patch gets pushed back a few days... nothing big... I mean its not like you had scheduled time off so you could be right there and first person on the server to play with the new patch... I mean you didn't did you?
the cat is bemused =-.-=
A game has never gone under such severe repair as this one.
When you've lost your client's trust, the last thing you want to do is give them empty promises.
Every patch is like this, if it were just this one off time, it wouldn't be an issue.
Theres only so much delay's/empty promises people are going to endure before they grow impatient.
Glad someone appreciated it.
