No, not really. All it does is just randomly make our filler spells do more damage with lower MP cost. It can change how many times we can use Ruin III out of trance, though.
Hmm Maybe rotation wasn't the right word, I just meant the immediate picture of what you're doing changes. You're being presented with information that isn't always "this exact unchanging 1 2 3", adds for a slightly different feel as you have to assess the information more dynamically than other jobs. The chance will have nudges on your judgement if you're trying to play tip top (maybe more so on other jobs but yeah).
Also was thinking of the other jobs though, since we have a few threads talking about RNG atm.
If the potencies are right, then this mp drain with 80 pot is a must for SMN. You'd only need ruin1 on your bar to use it in the 15s of Tridisaster Buff, maybe, if ppl not mostly use R2/3 because higher buffed pot.
R4 procs happen on R1 and R2 at the same time, so will this be a skill you now gonna use only on very specific times (only to use with Ruin buff of Tridisaster, but no DWT, no R4 proc and no MP for R2/R3)?

While I do plan on reserving final judgment for after I've played the job at 70 for a bit, this has me fuming. I'm hoping it's not as bad as it appears, but this doesn't bode well at all. There's always other jobs, I guess.
1) HOW DO YOUR PETS EVEN COME CLOSE TO DYING!? Unless you are trying to kill an A/S rank hunt mobs, Titan should never come close to dying. Besides we do have Swiftcast so just resummon your pet
2) While it is a lost and a slight one to that, we do not know if the pets auto-attack have been buff to make up to this. We also have Contagion which now buffs magic damage and Radiant Shield which buffs physical damage.
3) You are right. Bane is a huge loss in our aoe department but SE is trying to shut down massive pulls in dugeons so it was only a matter of time
4) Again you are right about the lost on fester but since we cat Ruin so much Ruin4 will probably make up for it. However, the tooltip may have been wrong on Fester because if you watch Mr. Happy's video on SMN Fester did quite a bit more damage than Painflare, but it is hard to see
5) Seeing how Enkindle now has that nifty trait to it and if the player is lucky enough, we may see Enkindle back pretty fast kinda like bards and their bloodletter procs
6) Its a loss but not that hefty of one and again they are trying to cut down on aoe dps
Another thing I think people miss was the fact that:
-YOU CAN USE AETHERFLOW BEFORE YOU HIT DREADWYRM TRANCE! (As far as i know anyways.)
-Contagion and Radiant Shield do not share recast times so you can switch between the 2 as needed
-We have no idea on how long Aetherpact lasts
- I forgot the buff on Ruin spells from Tri-Disaster
Until the stronger player get their hands on this game, we do not know what the classes are capable of.
But anyways, I see SMN being a supportive caster at the moment. While weaker than BLM/RDM, It'll help out the party out a little more
